MEDIX 5.5 Hyaluronic Acid + Cica Hydrate & Renew Body Cream

I just finished by first bottle of this lotion and am convinced it is improving my skin. One bottle lasted me about two months (and that’s with regular, daily use) although I did have to take the pump off and really work for the last two week’s worth of lotion. It is thick but goes on smoothly. I personally love the light scent and it does leave my skin feeling very soft. The first significant improvement I’ve noticed is that my dry, cracked heels are gone! I wish I had taken before photos but I was not expecting that outcome (usually they say to use salicylic acid for that issue). Since they say it takes several weeks of retinol use to see results, I just bought my second bottle and am hoping I start to see more results on the crepey skin above my knees and postpartum belly.

I am obsessed with this entire line of lotions!!! Because the reviews for all the different types are together I’m going to highlight them all here as I have tried and loved every single one of them. For background on me. I’m 60 but take good care of myself and people usually think I’m 10-15 years younger than I am. I do have some age “tells” though that if you look closely would give my age away. And these lotions are making those go away. I have spent tons of money over the years and am a product junkie and I’ve never found anything that works better on my face - yes my face(!) or my body than Medix 5.5 lotions. Collagen and Peptides lotion is the one that started my love affair with this brand. All the lotions are loaded with dimethicone which fills in all the lines and plumps skin and it is amazing. Spackle for skin. Anyway after just a few days my reasonably deep forehead lines (age tell) are way less deep. Noticeably. I’ve taken such good care of myself I don’t expect to turn back the clock at all - I’m happy just slowing it down - but those lines are better. Also my skin is baby butt smooth and any alligator lines are gone. There isn’t really a smell aside from the normal lotion smell. This stuff is amazing!! Do not be afraid to use these on your face. The ingredients are safe, gentle and effective. I tried the retinol lotion. Now I’m actually very allergic to retinol but I’ve only used it on my face and I figured in a body lotion surely it’s not too strong. Well I put it on my body at night (retinol and sunlight don’t mix and I’m a Florida girl) and woke up needing a benedryl. There’s a good amount of retinol in there. Lol. No bad smell and I wish I could use this on my face but I do skim it on my legs lightly once a week or so. Hyaluronic acid and cica extract. Ok watch out for this one. This smells strongly of rose. And it doesn’t go away. I love hyaluronic acid to hold in hydration but the smell is way too strong for me. Medix has a booster that has no odor and can be mixed in and I prefer that. I am using this up by applying it before I shower and then rubbing it in with the water and showering as usual. But this one I’ll probably pass on next time. Argan oil and Vitamin E is another solid basic lotion. Smells like lotion and hydrates well. This one is also great. Vitamin C and Turmeric is a great lotion but it does smell strongly and body spray doesn’t cover the smell. But it works like it should so I will keep using this one (only at night because Vitamin C and sunshine don’t mix either). So this one has helped a lot with my brown spots on my hands and chest (another tell). I haven’t used it too much out of love for my husband sleeping next to me but I can see a difference. Coconut oil and manuka honey - this one smells fabulous! Like the best coconut tropical suntan lotion but it’s not overpowering and sadly it fades quickly. The lotion is good just like all of them although I don’t think it makes as big an impact as some of the others. Hope this helps. I cannot say enough good things about these lotion!!

Pleasant Update! First off or since this is an update...Second off, I am 57 years old with severe allergies, so finding skincare that actually works without causing a reaction is incredibly difficult. This fragrance-free version is absolutely perfect for me! It gives my skin the most wonderful, nourished feeling and has noticeably taken away the crepeiness I was starting to see. It is so effective that it honestly makes my skin look at least 10 years younger! It is deeply hydrating, silky, and completely non-irritating. If you have sensitive skin or a sensitive nose and want real anti-aging results, I cannot recommend this enough! Now the negative... I saw so many reviews about the pump being broken...and that's what I thought too BUT thanks to ai here's what to do.... 1.Tighten the bottle top on so tight that you might never get it loose. 2. Push down and turn left...counter clockwise. 3. Keep turning 4. Keep turning 5....yep, turn some more remember to push down while turning. 6. Turn for what seems like 40 times... 7. Now turn and gently pull up. Presto. 8. Now leave a review minus some stars SO HOPEFULLY THEY FIX THIS SUCKY DESIGN! Note: I will save the old bottle when I reorder so I won't have to go through turning turning turning hell! I also might try the Gatorade spout top as another poster recommended. THIS PRODUCT IS WORTH THE PUMP HEADACHE!

I don’t expect to love this as much as I do. It is very moisturizing and leaves me soft into the next day. My skin feels deeply nourished and smoothed, but not greasy and heavy. It has a pleasant sweet honey milky scent, to me - it’s not overpowering at all - actually soothing. It has a very smooth consistency and pumps out easily. The size of the bottle is decent. I was somewhat tickled by the rectangular boxy shape of it though. After a nice bath, I really enjoy this lotion. Now.. the price, hmmm, it is good lotion and it moisturizes well, but this is not at all EOS lotion or EOS priced lol, but worth it. Overall, 8.5/10 - I recommend.

There's another better known brand that's doing a lot of self-promotion online for their retinol body lotion. I was planning to give it a try to see if my skin texture could be improved, now that I'm a "woman of a certain age". The reviews from other Amazon customers rated this brand and this formula very highly. The price was right as compared to the brand doing all the heavy advertising. Some purchasers had mentioned that this had a stronger scent than they'd anticipated. I find the fragrance to be minimal. It's mild and pleasing. It doesn't fight against any other cologne mist that I want to wear. It feels silky and gentle on my skin, with a nourishing property. It dries with a non-greasy finish. It's light, but effective. Maybe I'm succumbing to wishful thinking, but to me after not even a week of usage, it feels and looks like my skin is looking less crepey and more healthy. I will keep keeping the usage going and hoping for even more improvement in texture and elasticity over time.

I've been using this consistently for a few months now and I can see a difference in my skin! More firm, more hydrated. It doesn't have a smell and I like that. Its absorbs easily but lasts long enough to rub all the way in.

I hate lotion.I have alligator scales on my legs because I will not put lotion on.I use moisture sticks avoid the feeling of thick sticky lotion.I use dry oil.The one thing I hate more than lotion is my skin looking old.I decided to break down and buy a lotion that had retinol in it.This is what I decided on.The bottle is huge.I was hoping since it had a pump it may not be thick.I put it on and it is more watery then lotion. It absorbed on my skin almost immediately.There was zero sticky feeling.It has a rose smell but not overpowering.I get headaches from some strong smelling things so keep that in mind.It did not give me a headache and only smelled lightly.You can put it on and not worry about getting your sheets dirty. You can put your clothes on immediately after and not worry about getting your clothes greasy.I leaves your skin feeling silky and soft.I have never felt anything like it.Its magic in a bottle.I look forward to putting it on.Only time will tell if it helps with wrinkles.If you are young I would definitely recommend you start using something on your body for aging.I cant say enough about this product.Buy it if you hate the way lotion feels.
