Good Book, but Cert is Discontinued
The contents of this book are still valid and function well in imparting a vendor-neutral, foundational knowledge of computer forensic processes. However, (ISC)² has discontinued the CCFP certification itself.

I haven't taken the test but this guide seems to ...
I haven't taken the test but this guide seems to cover a lot of ground. I also picked up the all in one chfi book which covers some additional ground. I think both books cover forensics comprehensively.

Buy this book if you're planning to flush the $500 CCFP exam fee down the toilet!
Buy this book if you're planning to flush the $500 CCFP exam fee down the toilet!I currently hold the following active IT certifications: CISSP-ISSEP, ISSAP, ISSMP, CISM, PMP, CHFI, CEH, CASP, CLA, TS, LPIC-1, CCNA R&S, Linux+, Network+, Security+, A+, ITILv3, and PRINCE2 Foundation. I'm more than versed in certification exam prep courses, books, and exams. The McGraw Hill All-In-One exam guides haven't let me down in studying for any of my past exams.I purchased this book and spent a solid month reading it and reviewing the appropriate concepts. I memorized all 65 end-of-chapter review questions and all 250 practice exam questions. I was thoroughly versed in all domains, topics, and areas of study. I have years of experience in the IT field. This book is poorly written, organized, and doesn't possess anywhere near the level of depth required to even make a laughable attempt at ISC2's CCFP exam.I just returned from taking my ISC2 CCFP exam and I scored a miserable 514/1000 with 700 points required to pass the exam. After answering just 5 of the 125 questions on the exam all I could think was, "Why oh why did I relay on the McGraw Hill All-In-One CCFP Exam Guide to pass this test?". This book will give you a level of depth in the CCFP exam to not only make you feel like you were slapped in the face by reading the wrong exam prep book, but also like an elementary student in a high school exam who is desperately taking shots in the dark at questions that are completely unfamiliar to you.If you're reading this review wondering if I'm just some loser who didn't put in enough effort to pass an exam; feel free to email me and I'll send you proof of my valid credentials and miserable CCFP exam score. The only reason I took the time to write this review was to save you the $75 for this book, $500 for the exam, and countless hours spent studying the McGraw Hill CCFP All-In-One Exam Guide. I can't get my time or money back, but you still can: steer clear of this book and rely on ISC2 for exam preparation materials.

This is the one you need for the CCFP
Compared to the similar offering by ISC2, you'll find this book has the same content, but is much more concise, and comes with a practice test engine.

Good reference, but not what you will need to pass the test.
This is a really good book on basic forensics. Here is the bad news...almost nothing in the book prepared me for the test. The test was almost 100% scenario based. The practice questions were not even close to the real test, and they are not being updated or supported by the company who made them any longer. As a reference book, Chuck has done a great job, but you will need much more than this to pass the test.

Great book, very educational. I can't about the exam, because I haven't taken it yet. Material wise, great book.
