Q: Odd but will it fold to fit in a suitcase?

The outfit will but mask won’t

Q: My son is 7 but he’s short for he’s age. What size would I need do you think?

I would go for the small.You might have problems with them mask though.I bought it for my 5 year old grandson and found the mask to be very large ,he couldn't see through it without pulling mask way down more or less onto his chest .At that the mask is very sharp on the edges and was scratching him.He now has the masks on his wall and doesn't wear them.He is tall for his age I wasn't expecting the outfit to be a problem for him.Clearly it is.I wouldn't buy it again.

Hi. I got this for my grandson when he turned 5 and it was very big on him . He’s average sized for his age. The mask was huge. he couldn’t see out of it eyeholes were at his chin. The mask is quite sharp around the edges too. It’s brittle . My grandson never wore it he had it on his wall.
