Excellent with a thorough research of President Nasser as one of the remarkable statesmen of the 20th century. Nutting is sparse in praising and unstinting in his critique. Nutting knew President Nasser very closely from 1954 when Nutting was British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs who negotiated with President Nasser the 88,000 British troops evacuation from the Suez Canal region after seventy-four years of occupation. Nutting resigned from Eden's cabinet in protest against England and France collusion with Israel in invading Egypt because of the Suez Canal nationalization by President Nasser.
