I bought these as we were going away for the weekend, and I needed locks for the suitcases. I have bought very similar ones before, and have been disappointed with the quality. These are a bit special. They not only look sturdy and strong, but feel it as well. The length of the cable is excellent for attaching 3 different compartments on a case or backpack together with ease. I use one on the bag I use every day, rain or shine, and it has been soaking wet a number of times. This is where the others have failed, but these still work like new. I have replaced all my others with these ones, as they do the job asked of them and still look new... If you are looking for a luggage lock, then look no further... An easy 5 stars...

The only reason for 4 stars is that I can't comment on the tsa function. But as far as the locks go they are good quality and setting a code is much simpler than the usual very tiny easy to break keys that I have used in the past. The flexibility with the bending is also a bonus goes on and off a lot better. I am confident these will withstand travel and hopefully I might get the experience of the tsa and can then add that quality to my review. At this moment I can highly recommend them should that change then I will update my review.

One does not really buy these "approved`' locks for any real hope of security as it is as easy to buy the keys as it is to buy the locks plus of course it is close to impossible to make a suitcase really secure. All I really use them for is to stop zips coming open in transit. As it makes no difference whether one buys the cheapest or the most expensive as they all open with the "master" key I just but the cheapest and these seem as good as any. Easy to change code if needed and easy to use.

Updated review - Sept 29: Excellent customer service from the seller. I had issues resetting the code for the first set I received and the seller was very prompt and helpful with resolving my issue. The locks are high quality and very sturdy as long as you take extra care when resetting the code from the factory default. I would suggest first resetting to an easy alternate code like 100 and making sure you are familiar with the process before setting a more complicated code. Initial review - Sept 15 I have reset the lock to my preferred combination but it will not unlock. So annoying as I've got a trip tomorrow!

Just returned from a trip to Tanzania. Somewhere along the way I lost one of my kit bag locks. This style of lock is really useful because the wire goes through the zipper and makes the bag secure. Yes, I know that if someone wants to get into a soft-sided kit bag a sharp knife and they're in BUT that is visible. All I hope is that instead of my bag contents getting stolen thieves move on elsewhere. Also better to have a numeric combination lock. All too easy to lose the key (for me anyway). Good product. Cheap enough. TSA approved, what's not to like!

Pretty simple to set up and operating the dial wheels is easy enough. The wire loop can look pretty beat up when it gets to the other end of the flight so I think that's what may eventually go, but I'm guessing they'll last at least 10-15 trips, in which time there's a good chance I'll have lost one and need to be getting replacements anyway.

I think these luggage locks are very secure and well-made and I'm using them when I fly off to Malaysia soon and can have peace of mind that the contents of my luggage will be safe. I did find that setting up the personal code was difficult for me as I had difficulty holding the pen in the preset button and turning the dials at the same time, I have Arthritis in my hands which made it hard. I mucked up one of the locks because I couldn't hold the preset button in and contacted BeskooHome for help. Elise looked after me and replaced the locks at no extra charge , she really made me feel a honoured client and I can't praise her help and understanding enough. Thank you.
