It works, kinda
I wanted to protect my Apple Watch Series 8 45mm, but no single solution addressed my concerns. This solution sort of works for now. The issue I have is the corners keep coming up after the install. In the image I have reset them, but after a bit they wing up. I’m using the Rhino Shield Bumper Case with this 44mm product. The bumper case ring overlaps with the film product pretty well. I have moderate to high level of experience with film protection products on mobile devices.

Tricky installation, but overall a good screen protector
These screen protectors were a bit tricky for me to install (I’ve never done a ‘wet installation’ before), but once I managed to get through the process, the screen is sticking to the watch very well. Giving the solution time to dry before pressing down the corners is crucial, it will not work if it’s not dry enough. After just a few days, I’m already getting some small scratches on the protector, which to me shows that it is protecting the screen from scratchesThe screen fits perfectly on my SE 2022, and there are no air bubbles after I let it dry overnight. The film is also thin, very clear, and very responsive, so I almost always forget that it’s even on the watch.

Be careful in installing
Nice and clear after its dry. Was a little hard to get just right during the wet install. Seems to be ok afterwards, except that a corner kept coming up.

Durability
To begin, let me say I ordered these for my Garmin sports watch which is round and has a flat face. It has been on my watch for 15 months and still looks great. So, I decided to buy them for my Apple watch. Following is an open review of my experience. To begin, I really like the way these go on the watch by using soapy water because they allow you to precisely position the product. However, as stated by some, you need to wait a long time before you can wear your watch due to drying time. During this drying time, I found I had to frequently press down the corners to ensure adhesion. The application of the product is a learning process. I did not really get it right until the 6th one. Each previous attempt resulted in at least one corner not sticking. I still kept the screen protector on for several days until it got too annoying. On one of the six trials I tried to apply it without the soapy water. It went on okay and adhered to all 4 corners, however there were many bubbles. This is no fault of the product of course as I did not follow the instructions. My final application went very well. All four corners adhered and the product looked good and held up for 8 days. I want a product that lasts a little longer so I decided to try a non-liquid type of screen protector, just to see if I liked it better. The new one went on very well and looks great, but it has only been on one day. Another observation is the RinoGear has somewhat of an “orange peel” appearance in the right lighting angle. The new product I purchased has been on my watch since August. It has a nice clear appearance that I like better. In summary, I think the RinoGear works great on a flat screen but has trouble with the rounded corners of an Apple watch. This review was not meant to be negative, but rather informative of my experience. Perhaps you will have great success with the RinoGear product. Here is how I was able to get a successful application. I taped the watch down by the wrist band to an outside table where there were good lighting and drying conditions. I applied the product as instructed. I then set a timer for 10 minutes and then pressed down the corners of the screen protector. I continued this 10 minute process 5 more times (one hour total).

[advanced edges version] Difficult Installation but [update: not quite] Worth It!
Update: After a couple weeks, the protector's advanced edges developed very small bubbles. When I rubbed my watch against fibrous surfaces (particularly carpet), hairs got caught in these small bubbles. When I pulled at the hairs, they acted as levers to pull off the screen protector. I went through three more of the screen protectors, having similarly short experiences with each. In one case, after about a month, the screen protector developed bubbles catching fibers. I resisted pulling for a few days, and when I looked down at the screen, the bubbles and fibers were gone! It took me another day to realize this was because the entire screen protector was gone, without me knowing. I do not have the patience to reapply a screen protector every three weeks, especially with such a difficult installation process. I tried a full body case but it cut off my circulation and was pretty blurry, so I now sport my watch naked — looks like I won't be reselling my watch, as it has already developed scratches which I can accept but that will substantially impede resale. I ultimately blame apple for giving its watches fragile screens that cannot be repaired or easily protected.–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––When they say advanced, they mean it! It took me a few hours to get this thing installed, because it took much longer than the 35 minutes it took the guy in the video for the edges to stick to the Apple Watch Series 4 44mm and stay stuck. At last it stuck well enough but not without plenty of microbubbles. As shown in the video, the microbubbles do in fact go away after a day or two.Now that it's installed, the screen protector is great. I love not having to worry about minor scratches to the screen, even on the edges. The screen protector fits perfectly and does not interfere at all with the use of the watch. There are no remaining bubbles except one minor one alongside the crown. The edges are tightly covered.Beware of other competing screen protectors on Amazon. Many have inflated reviews via combining a listing with an iPhone screen protector; it is easy to make a screen protector but very difficult to make one for Apple Watch. This is intentional as when you regularly refresh your Apple Watch every two years in theory, Apple doesn't want your old watch to have much resale value as if it is in good condition, it will compete with the ones they sell. But through the vudu wet application ritual RinoGear employs, you can protect yourself from this diabolical technique Apple uses. Thus, I strongly recommend this screen protector to those with both experience and patience applying screen protectors, and suggest the no edges version for those with less experience and patience. Can confirm, the product included the application solution. Thank you!

Not so easy to apply
It’s great the it covers all the corners of the watch but the application it’s not so simple. You need to keep an eye while is drying to make sure to secure the corners.

I used a hair drier to finish off & shrink corners into place. Works with Spigen Rugged Armor Case.
Very good screen protector.I fitted one to my Apple Watch 4 - 44mm, two years ago.I followed the instructions & smoothed out the air bubbles with the plastic tool. Then held the corners down with my thumbs for a few minutes at a time to 'train' them to shape.I then used a hair drier to finish off and shrink the corners into place.I fitted a Spigen Rugged Armor case afterwards, which holds the protector film down very well. You don't notice it's there. After two years, my watch is still on the first one of the the six protectors. The Spigen case is still in very good condition also.I have caught the case during working on cars, vans, motorbikes & electrical panels at work, etc, which pulled the edges of the protector up occasionally. I just tucked it back in place & it settled back okay.I have struck the screen on sharp edges too, which has left a couple of hardly noticeable marks on the film, it does self-heal pretty well.I've just ordered a new Apple Watch 6 and a new phone. So I've ordered another Spigen watch case & another pack of these screen protectors, even though I still have five of the old ones left, just in case they stop making them.

Not a good optio
The screen protector was incredibly difficult to install and took about 1 hour total after letting it sit and dry. Once on it did look good, but the edges started peeling immediately and had to constantly be re-stuck for a day. Then it looked good for about 1 week but started scratching and getting pockmarked. After about 2 more weeks it needs to be replaced as it has peeled on the corners and can’t be re-stuck. Do not recommend (but I haven’t found a good Apple Watch case yet).

Good Product but Did Not Last
I read many good reviews about the product and decided to give it a try. Mine was the dry install type and was easy to install after watching the video. I had 2 small air bubbles that remained but according to the instructions, they were supposed to disappear with the installation. True enough, the air bubbles disappeared after 2 days. I was extremely pleased with it. Alas after about a week, there were several nicks that appeared at the edges (could have been due to the watch being hit but I couldn't be sure). I tried to smooth them out as best as I could but they were still visible. The next day, I found that part of the screen protector was separated from the rest ie completely tore off but still sticking to the watch. I was quite disappointed to see it damaged so quickly, otherwise would have been a really great product.

They do not work
Tried three of these shields over 2 months. They all failed within 2-3 weeks peaking at the corners. I followed all the online instructions but these go not last. I emailed the company two weeks ago and have never received a response. I do not recommend these.

Important to follow the instructions, if you do it works perfectly.
Very happy with this. I would point out to follow the instructions carefully. If you try to hurry it, the guard will not adhere. I fitted this on my husband’s watch, together with a protective band/case combined he has full protection when working outside.
