Charmly Halloween Party Pirate Costume Set Pirate Role Play With Headwear, Sword, Eye Patch and Hook

I know you “get what you pay for” but it wasn’t difficult for the sword to break in 3 places THE DAY we got it. My toddler was running around this afternoon just holding it, yet the hand guard and the bottom emblem on the sword broke off. Not the end of the world but it would have been nice to make it a bit longer than 4.5 hours.

I bought this for a 4 year old who is obsessed with pirates! Hat isn’t a full hat-has elastic strap on back. But all seem well made and not flimsy.

These were great quick items to find for a costume, but the pirate hat was really dinky and looked ridiculous when put on. I had to go buy another pirate hat.

This looks like a cute set and upon arrival the sword looks cool, the hook looks good and the eyepatch looks fine. The "headgear" is nothing more than pirate themed felt with a stretchy band to hold it on the back of the head. I guess I should have realized it didn't specifically say "hat". If the other pieces hold up, we will keep the set for the sword and hook, but we still need to find a real pirate hat.

Do you look like a pirate when you wear these? Enough that everyone gets the picture and no one forces you to walk the plant. Hat is weird, definitely for kids. Patch is usable for all but needs adjusting for young heads. Hook is very cheap but satisfying to my young child to pretend with. Sword is somehow the best part of this and has stood up to hacking of piñata, cardboard, a tree and various legs/arms of adult partygoers.

We bought two of these kits for my kids for a boating adventure day. The sword hilt was broken on one of the swords when we opened the package but nothing we couldn’t really over look. I really expected these to not last past that day but we did end up getting a few more issues out of them. The plastic is thin on these and the fabric can rip easily if you aren’t careful.

I’ve been using it for pretend play and so far it’s been durable

Fits my 9' T-Rex just fine, but if you are looking for a substantial costume, this may not be it. I was pricing the hook and sword individually when I came across this and it was the perfect campy, traditional, Halloween pirate. If you are going for authentic, durable, or historically accurate, then this kit isn't for you. Kinda flimsy (especially the hat which is made of out felt) but about what you should expect from a kit this price.
