HANTEN (Cotton jacket made in Japan Kimono-style) Japanese clothes X-Large Size Men's

Many years ago I had purchased a hanten (jacket) at a Japanese store and have enjoyed it a lot. However as the years have passed it has become very worn and so I was looking for a replacement. This Hanten is made by Watanosato in Japan and is of very good quality and is quite warm and comfortable. I am enjoying it very much.

good for the plump gals. based on reviews, it didn't look like the women's hanten would fit me, so I got the men's LL. its a little large, but since its for cold weather it's better to be a little large than a little small. save the care/cleaning instructions. these must be washed in a very specific way. you may also want to get a kimono hanger to hang it up.

This hanten is super comfortable, I am 6 ft 180 lbs and got an XL. The sleeves are short but they're good for working at a computer. The care instructions are very thorough. In Japan I wore a yukata, which is great for warmer weather, but this is perfect for indoors in the winter. It's almost like a blanket/robe hybrid, I feel like a japanese tony soprano.

This simple jacket is my new favorite for wearing indoors as cooler weather arrives in my area. The generous sleeves work well when worn over a yukata, and they are short enough that they don't get in the way. The lining is comfortable against the skin - not slippery like so many jackets, not faux-shearling like so many others. Just a fine cotton cloth with the barest hint of a nap. There is just enough padding/insulation to ward off a chill without making me sweaty. I don't typically wear this outdoors - not because it isn't attractive or warm, just because I have plenty of other coats for outdoor wear and I don't need the yukata/kimono-friendly sleeves if I'm going out.

This fabric is amazing. Very high quality make and materials. I am 6’2” i90lbs and got the XL. It fits great. I wear it around the house it’s super comfortable. Highly recommend.
