Got this after buying a similar mounting device from Griffin. The other device was great for a phone but I needed something for my Samsung Galaxy tablet 7". This is perfect. Used in multiple flights to and from hawaii. Works great - even works on the new thing tray tables they have on inter island flights. A plus is the plastics "screws" for lack of a better description that gently adjust the device you're using forward or back for a Betty angle viewing. Well thought out, works great and its light weight!

I like them. I would use them with a case so the plastic won't touch your screen.
These brackets are great. They do a very good job of holding up your tablet against a tray while it is up. They keep your hands free and the tablet is higher up so you're not hunched over like if you was holding it on your tray. The picture doesn't show that there's to screw holds on each of the brackets. They come with two large plastic screws that you can adjust so it can press against a tray. This will prevent it from bouncing too much. I position the brackets so they are touching the edges of my case and not my screen. There are some issues with this. One of the issue is if you don't have a case and placed the tablet in these, then the plastic will be rubbing against your screen. If you have a really thick old-school tablet you might be bending the brackets a little too much. This will cause excessive pressure on your tablet and it might even custom bracket to break. With that said I really like these and would buy it again. They are overpriced to me but it saves me the time of creating something like these.

Better for kids than adults
Not bad so far as it goes, just two problems that I see.First, it hangs the ipad at the level of the tray table, which seems obvious, but it means you are still looking down at the screen, though to be fair it is higher than it would be just sitting on the table.Second, when the guy in front of me leaned his seat back it became unwatchable. the adjustment screws were just not long enough to angle the screen enough to compensate for the negative angle of the seat. Which reminds me, the screws are not visible in the product details. They look to be an improvement on the original design of a sliding brace. On the positive, I think that this might work really well for a child. I think it would put the screen at just the right height.

Neck Saver
So I fly a lot and bring my kindle with books and movies on it, on those long flights its a neck saver, keep in mind it will be the height of the tray so some airlines are lower then others, but still much better then craning your neck down to read. I've lost count of the number of times people have asked me about them.

Good idea for a product
Good idea for a product, but mine broke on the third use. I must have received a faulty product. My AirClipZ now reside in the trash.

Works on any plane!
I've used these on multiple planes with different configurations of food trays. I even used them over a seat top in first class. They all worked! I couldn't be more thrilled with this product.

These are pretty effective. They look to be pretty flimsy but they fit on the tray table on the airplane pretty well. The little screws that serve to put it out at an angle don’t really do much. I expect that after a little bit of use these may break because the plastic is not that strong. Still this is exactly what I’ve been looking for to use to read my Kindle and iPad. Would recommend and would buy again.

Let's hope the next one is better. Still haven't lost hope though
I tried it on one AA flight and it didn't work. The tray would not close with the clips on. Let's hope the next one is better. Still haven't lost hope though.
