Airvida Wearable Personal Air Purifier (Black)

An air purifier is one of those things that it's not obvious how effective it is when correctly operating (unless perhaps you had obvious symptoms that were alieviated which I don't) so I don't feel in a position to comment on that. But the instructions say that for the purifier to work the little metal contact needs to be in touch with the skin on the back of your neck (obviously any skin but it is designed to go round your neck). I am pretty average size with an average neck in my opinion (about 5ft 6 and size 10/12) and I find the purifier doesn't stay in position and either swivels round or shifts up or clothing moves around and gets in the way so I'm really not sure how much of the time the metal is in skin contact so it could well not be purifing the air at all for a good amount of the time I'm wearing itUpdate:A couple of months after my original review, the purifier stopped working altogether - I put it on to charge and the charging light didn't come on. So buying this was a very bad use of £200. Another issue is that it doesn't come with a carry case so unless you want to wear it all the time you end up finding that you want to put it in your bag but I don't think it's really robust enough for this and maybe that's why mine stopped working

This product was bought for £200 and although I had to save for this it was very recommended and I am so happy I did.I have asthma and multiple Chemical Sensitivity. So I am basically allergic to the 20th and 21st century with so many products made from petro chemicals which gas off. Paint is particularly bad but there are many viable products made in the U.K. that are made free of these products. I also use carbon masks which I can sleep in so together these help me not to react in a heavily polluted area but the ioniser technology that I don't understand has allowed me to move into low pollution areas with no reaction where I would have been very ill in the past. I take care not to go into heavily polluted areas because chemical molecules can land on hair clothes etc so when I remove the ioniser I have a bad reaction. The answer to wear the carbon filter mask and wash clothes and shower hair etc to remove molecules. Good Luck. I totally recommend.
