Jamaican Jerk Spice - spicy & hot grilling seasoning. 1 jar

When Whole Foods stopped carrying this product I was happy to find it on Amazon. It is very spicy, but if you mix it with oil and lemon juice it cuts the heat and is delicious on all meat I have marinated. I use 2 tablespoons Jamaican Jerk Spice, juice of 1 lemon and 2 tablespoons olive oil for the marinade.

To me, this jerk spice is the real deal and very similar in heat and flavor to jerk pork and jerk chicken that I have enjoyed in the Caribbean. Although the jar is small, the paste inside is very strong, so it can be used sparingly (and if you have a sensitive tongue, very sparingly). I dilute a small amount in oil before using it as a marinade or rub. In my cooking, one jar typically lasts many months. Highly recommended.

I guess I overlooked that part of the description but I was expecting seasoning. I'm not familiar with cooking with paste, how much of it to use, etc. It is definitely more messy and time consuming than applying seasoning. I'll reserve my comments for taste after I finish grilling today. Just opening the jar does fill the room with jerk favor so that is good. However, the jar is very small. For the price they charge you, I expected a bigger jar. The picture seems to show it's a bigger jar too but it is very tiny, smaller than your thumb. Because of this, I cannot recommend this product. That may change after tasting but I was looking for more of a seasoning than a paste.No problem with shipping, it arrived a week early. In fact, it wasn't suppose to get here until the end of next week May 29th. Today is May 22nd. Wasn't expecting a package today from Amazon but that worked out because I am grilling today..

I like it. I didn't think it was spicy everybody else said it was hell spicy but no flavor. I will definitely use mixing up with some stuff

This stuff is the real deal! Hands down, the BEST Jamaican jerk sauce/paste/seasoning you can get outside of Jamaica. The flavor is nothing short of incredible, but it is very spicy (which I love). When I make it for my wife, I blend it with plain yogurt before I marinade. Helps to cool it down.

Its the real deal! Once you figure out the ratio to extend the paste, you'll love it!I cut mines 2 Tbsp of paste to 1/3 cup of olive oil...

The product came with the lid partially unscrewed, with sauce on the outside. I clicked on returns and replacements, and found it’s not eligible ‘. No additional information. All I wanted was a replacement.

about as authentic flavor as you can get. better than any dry seasoning available. swear by this stuff
