History Made NOT Boring!
I have always been fascinated with history - in spite of all the history "teachers" (elementary, middle, high school & college) who did their best to make us all HATE history! The Rush Revere books present history in an interesting & fun way.A year ago, my nephew (now 9 years old) made great progress with his reading skills & discovered he loved to read. To reward success & encourage his love of reading, I surprised him with a subscription to Ranger Rick magazine several months ago, & in a few days he'll be surprised again with 5 (so far) of the Rush Revere books! The books are also for his Big Sis (now 13 years old) who has been instrumental in helping Little Bro learn to read. Even a 13 year old will will find the Rush Revere books both amusing & interesting.PS: There was an option to rate the difficulty level for the age group I indicated (9 years old). It's not possible to generalize about something that can only be judged on an individual basis. I can only say that an accomplished reader will really enjoy these books. If another 9 year old is struggling with reading, give him something interesting to read! Forcing him to read boring stuff would be rather counterproductive.:D

Relearning American History – A Book Review of Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims
I thought Home Schooling my kids would be easy and since we already were using a program they were using in the mission field I thought “hey no problem”. That is until we hit American History. My oldest was saying that in the program we are using there isn’t much in the way of American History. So I went to the site where I get her material and there I found that that was it just what she had. It was basic but shallow. Then as I tried to share with her about American History I found that I hadn’t any knowledge of it. I guess I was to busy skipping school and or was stoned out of my mind to remember any of it. I was left with a situation that had to be addressed. I overheard a lady talking about this book “Rush Revere” and how her grand kids love it and were learning history but not just them the mother and the grandmother as well. well I just have to get it I thought.I got online and Googled “Rush Revere” and found it was a children’s book written by Conservative Radio host Rush Limbaugh. Well that was a plus seeing I am a conservative myself. So I ordered the two books that he has published. Having read the first one I was most impressed. Written for the 8 to 14 age group it was a simple read and straight through you could read it in 3 to four hours or so.The Story is about Rush Revere, a substitute History Teacher, and his faithful steed Liberty, who has the mysterious ability to transport Rush and the class back through time to visit the original pilgrims travels and the establishment of the first colony in America. What is amazing I learned from the book myself all the history I either had forgotten or was to lazy to remember. The great thing is it is stuck in my head and I will never forget it again. It seems if history was taught in this way we would have remembered it to this date. But unfortunately more History classes are down right boring.I give this book Five Stars (five being the best) and two thumbs up for the fantastic teaching of American History made easy by Rush Limbaugh. I highly recommend this book not just for home schoolers but for any parent or grandparent, as a gift for your kids however I recommend you read it first its great. You and they will love it and remember it forever.

Rush's 2nd Childrens book better than the first.
I read this book and I loved it as much as I did his first book. This one seems to be much better, and my 2 kids loved it as well. My daughter took the book to school and it was a huge hit in her class. I was very pleased with the way our countrymen who were heroes in so much as what they did contributed to the creation of this great country, and these days, you don't hear about the good virtues of this country. Nobody since Reagan has really espoused the greatness of this country, and although this Country was not without it's faults, I think the GOOD this country and it's people have done far outweigh the bad. When Russia had the Chernobyl accident, our country bent over backwards to help the Russian citizens that lived near the plant and had been exposed, and we sent all kinds of aid and this was at the HEIGHT of the COLD WAR we had with them, so I LOVE my country, I do NOT hate ANYBODY, I may disagree with them, but Hate is such a strong term.Feel free to let your kids expand their reading, vocabulary, and knowledge of our history as told by somebody who actually LOVES this country and is not going to teach our kids to hate our country because we are a very kind hearted group of people, and when adversity comes, we have always had EXTRAORDINARY characters that were able to pull us through some of our deepest darkest hours, our patriots were there. I will NEVER be ashamed to call myself an American, and no Hyphenated one either. I enjoyed how this book portrayed our earliest patriots, and we still have them today, stepping up to help defend our great country. I feel my kids are much more cognizant of our history, and the men who fought and died, so we could live in one of the best Countries ever created, and I am proud to have been fortunate enough to have been born and raised here all my life. Thank you Mr. Limbaugh for such an uplifting and entertaining book, for me and my kids!! RUSH RUSH RUSH....well, I guess we will wait for the next book to come out. :)

History is fun and important
My kids (my 10 and 12 year old) have read and loved all of the Rush Revere books. Learning history is so important so that we know where we came from, how we’ve succeeded, how we’ve failed, and how to learn from mistakes. Rush makes history fun for kids- mine could not put these books down!

Delightful Reading!
A very fresh approach to children's history books. This book was a great read, though I am not a child anymore.A great look at early American historical figures and how their lives would have been lived, coupled with a thoroughly modern cast of adventurers. I bought the Kindle version, and it is very nice complete with that art work and historical document pictures.Five stars, yes, I would have loved to have had this series when I was in school.
