MindWare – Celtic Mosaic Coloring Book – 23 Unique Designs – Teaches Creativity and Fosters Imagination

Mind Ware Coloring Books were recommended to me by someone else who was using them for to destress when they could not sleep. My friend actually gave me several pages and a box of colored pencils she had found these so helpful and thought I, as a busy very stressed executive, mother/foster mother of 10 who has no ME time would benefit from these as she has. She was SOOOO right. I fell in love with these. I actually look forward to when I can get alone in my room, curl up on my bed with the now two Mind Ware books I purchased and the upgraded Faber-Castell Polychrome pencils (used to be a serious artist) I purchased and "color." When I wake up at night with the streams of things that have to get done, the issues to be dealt with at work, the kids issues and all the rest, I pull out the book and pencils and it just melts away. Instead of laying in bed for ours getting angrier and angrier that I'm not sleeping and having a very bad next day, now I color for a half our and go peacefully off to sleep to have a great next day. What a gift my friend gave me. Who would have thought a color book and box of pencils would make such a change in the life of a mature, high functioning, over worked adult. Mind Ware Coloring Books are definitely not your just for children.

The star review gives me questions about it being a toy, such as, is it durable. Thing is it is paper and not really a toy.I do like the designs that they have in the book. I also like that they are one sided so that, if you use markers, there is less of a chance for it to bleed through to another design. The pages are rather heavy,another plus. However, I still do use a piece of card stock in between the pages to prevent any bleeding from touching the other design. Rare occurrence but I'd rather err on the side of caution.Only drawback I see is that the designs are repeated for a second time in the book. I'd rather it was all single designs without repeats, but that could just be me.

We've been trying to find things to occupy an elderly parent during the day. She reads newspapers and fiction and works a lot of crossword puzzles but hasn't shown any interest in her piano. Someone suggested art and I found this online and ordered with a set of colorful markers. The detail keeps her busy and she enjoys it for about an hour at a time. Gives her more variety in her day, with results she can be proud of. If she uses the markers for more original art work, that would be great but for now this is a welcome addition.

I have colored many mandalas and similar coloring pages before. While this one may not be my absolute favorite, it is definitely up there at the top. Each page has different elements and a world of possibilities. I personally use colored pencils though I think that watercolor would be great as well. As a therapist I have used these pages with clients as a means of managing anxiety and depression as well as encouraging self-expression. And at home I often use them to wind down. I wish there were more out there like this!

This is a different kind of coloring book. My oldest hasn't lost her interest in coloring at age 13, but she wanted more unique things to color, which is why I bought these. She has really liked them and there are some really cool looking designs in it and they look even better when they are colored. The are detailed, however, and require a lot of time. My daughter works on it for a half hour or so, and comes back to it later.

I bought this book to use for machine quilting designs. The book repeats each picture twice within the coloring book. I color one for relaxing and am keeping the other version to use to blow up or use as it for machine quilting, especially on single color fabrics.

Took a long car trip and brought along this coloring book for ME-- a big person! EVERYONE saw the designs and wanted to know where to get the book from.We love to color at any age.. PERFECT for the 'what to get us big folks'.. nice gift too if someone is housebound.. some thin markers, crayons and this book. it WORKS!

Ordered it a couple of times now ... very relaxing but not nerve-racking as some of the coloring books for adults have been. Service was excellent as is usual with Amazon.com! Of course,once this latest book is finished, I'll be ordering more - hopefully different ones, but through Amazon.com as usual!

I like Mosaics and Celtic drawings so this is just perfect for me.
