Brilliant!
This is my 4th set, I have to get a new set when change my vehicle, but I still have the old ones. I had to use them once when the road to my house was under 3" of compacted snow, and it's steep too. My van became stuck when I had to give way to a car coming down (that would not have been able to stop). As a result I could not set off and I was stuck. I put these on and easily drove the rest of the way home, then reversed up onto my drive aslo steep. I was truly amazed at how well they work. Their value is only apparent when you need them!

insurance
Appears well made - fortunately not been used yet! Takes up no space. A good insurance in case it does snow at least can get home.

Snow insurance in your boot
I keep Autosocks in all my cars having first used a pair in the German Alps years ago which got me out of a spot of bother. Easy to put on and take off they provide an astonishing level of grip and whilst they are not for prolonged use they will get you going and keep you moving. Bung them in the washing machine after use and they will come up as good as new and be ready till the next time. Excellent for emergencies, makes putting on snow chains almost redundant and importantly will not damage your expensive wheels or body work. I have seen and used several of the look-a-like ones on fleet cars but Autosocks are the ones I have bought for my own use. Highly recommended as long as you appreciate that they have a finite life and distance/speed limitations. But if you have ever fitted snow chains in the dry on a practise run and cursed, imagine how difficult they are to fit when it is a blizzard and your stuck in a dangerous position and they scratch your alloys. As they say in Yorkshire, These'll Do....and they do.

Easy to use, does the job very well
Bought for a ski trip, used to drive back down the mountain in ~10cm fresh snow for 5-6km. Easy to fit, smoother ride than traditional chains, lower price and work just as well in conditions we were in. Rinsed through, dried and ready for next year. 6 stars.

Looks to be good. Packet already opened and gloves removed.
Looks to be a quality product, but until the appropriate weather arrives, it's difficult to tell the effectiveness! Could have received a higher score if the main product had not already been opened and the gloves that are supposed to come with, removed. I would return it, if it wasn't already Winter and would no doubt need them as soon as I send it back!

Incredibly good
Had big issues in last March's snow so bought these snow socks as a get me home. Arrived yesterday just in time to try them out.The grip is insane! Pulling out of junctions, turning into junctions, uphill, downhill, absolutely no slip or spin at all.I drove on hard packed snow, fresh snow and deep slush. The ultimate test for me was to reverse 90 degrees onto my driveway that is on a slope and had 10cms of snow on it. Yep, no problem at all.Fitting is a bit of a faff as I have 18" wide wheels with little space to work in. However, rather that than not get home or be in a ditch! Gloves are provided but I would suggest getting some elbow length gloves as you may get mucky cuffs reaching behind the wheel to pull the sock on. I would imagine that my wife's Honda Jazz wheels would be easy to fit the snow socks onto as a comparison due to skinny wheels and lots of room. The snow socks did self centre and driving at 25 mph they stayed in place.Massive thumbs up and big confidence booster as I would be stuck - literally, in snow if I did not have these.Come as a pair with gloves and a bag that expands to accommodate the socks once removed.

Excellent product. Can't say enough about how good it ...
Excellent product. Can't say enough about how good it is. Gets me up hills near home and on to the drive in all sorts of slippy/icy conditions that previously meant abandoning the car down the road. Easy to put on and take off, have bought sets for both my wife's car and my daughter's car. Well worth the money and the little space they take up in the boot.

This is a must have
These auto socks are awesome! Slip right on. I drove 50 miles here in Oregon even some on the pavement and they didn’t rip or anything. I have super singles. It works great.

Works as Advertised
Works great and definitely got me to work and back (~15km round trip), in snow (unplowed, 10-15cm~) and up a hill (20% gradient). Good for temporary use to get you outta a bad situation. Can be very difficult to put on if you have snow build-up in the wheel wells so make sure you have something to clear it out with.

These Snow Socks DO THE JOB.... (caveat please read)
Recently purchased these for a trip to Mammoth Lakes Calif. over the Christmas holidays. It snowed hard for four days straight. It was the heaviest snow fall in ten years. We took my wife's 2014 Mini Cooper Countryman AWD. After hours of digging ourselves out of the snow I was able to install the snow socks on the front two drive wheels. We then drove to the main highway, which was temporarily opened, and drove "30 miles" in snow and ice with white out conditions along the way at times. The snow socks performed extremely well. The ride was smooth and steady with very little, if any, sliding. Absolutely no vibration. As the altitude dropped the road became slushy and was a mix of snow and asphalt. I thought this would damage the socks, but that did not happen. We still maintained great traction. Speeds varied from 20 to 35+ MPH for the entire trip. The snow socks were a breeze to install. "The trick came in trying to remove them." The cold snow and ice shrunk them around the wheel. Attempting to grab the inside seam of the snow sock, and pull it back over the tire, proved to be more difficult that I anticipated. The clearance between the fender-well and the tire, on our car, was very tight and my hand just barley fit in between to grab the seam. The socks were now on very tightly. Understand, GOOD gloves are paramount!! The gloves provided are junk! The thickness of the gloves does add to the difficulty of removing the socks. Have a very good pair of gloves in the package with the snow socks. Some 'good' thick rubber gloves would work well. With this experience I would now approach the sock removal procedure much differently by picking a spot where there is adequate clearance and remove them a little at at time. This product is excellent for what we used it for and I would not hesitate to use it again. Attached is a photo of the socks after removal and 30 miles of use. They took a beating but still held together. They proved very durable and I believe they can be used again.
