These clippers are awesome. First, my dog is a princess, or at least he thinks he's royalty. If you have a Shih Tzu you know what I'm talking about. I also did not get him until he was 8 months old. He had never been groomed, brushed, potty trained. Side note, from a back yard breeder without the knowledge of what to do. Him and his brothers and sisters were neglected but the woman realized she couldn't do it and had listed all of the dogs on Craigslist. He came from a bad upbringing but not an evil person. The first thing we did when I got him home was a bath. As best as I could. Then we did vet and groomer the next day. He does not do crates. I was paying close to $150 for each grooming just for "Rush" service to avoid putting him in a crate. I tried myself with several clippers(People clippers) and he would literally fight me. If you've seen an angry Shih Tzu. Then I found a great local person that would then do him in her house. She said he was a doll. It was obvious he wasn't because she cut him several times. Ordered these. Well damn. He doesn't get the anxiety and I can do the greater portion of him in one night. Very helpful when the seasons changed. He's always at puppy cut. The clippers are super quiet, don't tug and he doesn't bite at them. The scissors. Close to garbage. I just saw another review about tightening a screen. I bought a $3 pair from Sally's. They seem very high quality and could be sharpened and adjusted, but I only use them on his face. That's a process. He still gets mad about grooming his face. Side note though. I bought this kit for $25. If it was the price it is now like $50. I would've bought another people trimmer. Would I spend $50 on it should it break tomorrow no. I haven't had it long enough and if it breaks, that's too fast. I don't think that's happening though. I've had it 6 months and we did a trim last night. Have I saved more than the $20 or $50 plus annoyances since buying it. Yes. Sadly, now I'm updating. My Shih Tzu has passed and now I have a Portuguese Water Dog. The guards that come with this aren't quite suitable for a larger dog. .55 inch is the longest.

I got this for my Pomeranian. He has such fine hair that my personal razor would not cut it. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package and everything is of high quality, the trimmer, scissors and nail clippers. I am currently charging the trimmer and have not used it yet. The nail clippers were awesome and worked like a charm. Will update after I shave my dog. Update: I only charged for about 15 minutes out of the box and it was fully charged and ready to go. I freaking love this thing. I should have gotten this years ago. I have been trying to get by with my personal shaver on problem areas the least amount I had to. I am covered in hair because I just went to town cutting Poms long winter hair. He usually fights me on everything I do. My partner recently passed away and I used to hold our dog and she would shave or clip when necessary. It has always been a two person job because he fights so much. Then he would hide from us for the rest of the day. This was the first time I was doing it on my own and I thought it was going to be a huge fight. But, it was so easy my dog just sat there and let me do it. I shaved his belly so he would quit having pee stuck to his fur and shaved his butt so close that there will be no poo sticking issues. I shaved his head around his eyes and ears and mouth and he just let me. So so happy. He has needed this for a long time. And he even came right back to me when I noticed I missed a few spots. The shaver was very easy to use and well exceeded my expectations. Life would have been so much easier had I gotten this 5 years ago. I paid a little more than I wanted to as I am used to getting cheaply made crap, but this is all high quality, well built stuff. And I filled out the online warranty and they are sending me a free face shaver that is more narrow. Just for filling out the warranty and free shipping. In all my days I have never had a company send me anything of value just for filling out the warranty card. This company obviously takes their product very seriously. It was worth the extra money. I really thought I would be disappointed and that it was going to be just slightly better than my personal shavers, but it was exponentially better. So happy I made this purchase. My poor little dog has been neglected for a long while. Now his nails are clipped and he can walk better and his hair is all shaved and he can see and do his business without stuff sticking to him. Awesome awesome.

Well, I have a lot to say about these.. First, I noticed a lot of clipper packages in this price range on amazon. To be honest, I’m sure they’re all the same ok quality clippers. But amazon is full of knock offs now. Some things are worth paying less for and some aren’t. I have no experience with expensive clippers from the pet store, but this is just my opinion. I’m just a guy that got tired of his wife spending $100 for the dog to get groomed at a local business. So yes, these clippers paid for themselves in ONE USE! I had no idea it would take so freaking long to trim my dog. Granted, she does have very shaggy fur. I think I spent close to 4-5 hours between doing it right and giving our dog breaks. I typically review stuff after multiple uses, but hey they paid for themselves after saving one trip to the groomer. The noise level was comfortable for my dog, but she is the most scairdy-cat dog I’ve ever seen. With some coaxing she did just fine. I also liked the multiple attachments and hair scissors. She still refuses to let me cut her nails, so that’s all I pay for at the groomers now. The clippers took forever to trim her and I had to make multiple passes. At the end, she had the slightest waves in her hair from the clipper guards, but hey it was my first time and it still looked pretty decent. I might have nicked her a couple times on accident, but I was trying to be super careful. Nothing to the point she whined or yelped. And trust me she’s the biggest baby ever. I’m sure there’s better options if you spend a lot more, but I was satisfied with these. After I trimmed her myself, my wife insisted the dog go to the dog spa the next time. They got a new person since last time she went, and I could tell I did a better job with my clippers on the first try than them!! If you’re willing to put in a few hours and go slow, these will pay for themselves after one use compared to going to a professional. Then from there it’s money back in my pocket every few months!

Purchased about 5 + years ago and it’s like new. It is quiet and both cats and dogs are fine with it. Highly suggest you get oil and clean the blades inside often so it does not get clogged Love that it is cordless, the battery life lasts quite a bit and it’s quite safe for pers

I am not one to write reviews but as someone who was hesitant to purchase these clippers, I had to do a review because they far surpassed my expectations. I have a 12 year old Pomeranian mix (he has part pom fur and part whatever the mix is fur, it's a terrible combo) who has some health issues and recently diagnosed with doggy dementia. He can now be unpredictable so taking him to groomer isnt something I am comfortable with now. First, these clippers really are quiet, he did not hear me click them on so there wasn't that initial panic. Second, he hasn't had a haircut or trim in 4.5 months, he fur was thick and poofy. These clippers has no trouble gliding through his fur. They cut with ease. I was able to trim his fur in about 15 minutes, sure he still needs a few touch ups but after 15 minutes he needed a break and I was thrilled with the results I had in such a short time. In the past, with our old clippers, it would take an hour to do. The blade and glide only clogged up once, even with all the fur I cut off. The clippers didnt get hot or even warm. They came with a bit if charge when I opened then up and it was only plugged in for 20 minutes before the light turned green. The scissors are great,i used them to trip up his paws, the ends are a bit sharp that would be my only complaint. I obviously cant speak for the longevity of the clippers but the way I see it, if we only get a few cuts out of then it's well worth it.

I used these clippers to shave down my 2 year old shih-poo. The clippers (our old set) I used before would get really hot and he didn’t like to sit still long when being shaved with the old ones. He even seemed to be a little nervous at the sound of them. These clippers worked great! I put them on charge after getting them out of the box, and it didn’t take long to charge and get the green light. After using them they did have to be charged a little longer. I took a few breaks just to clean the hair from the blade. He wasn’t matted and the blade would run smoothly through his hair (his hair had gotten long over our recent move). I was quiet impressed with these clippers. They came with a small oil for the blades, nail clips and file, comb, 2 nice pair of scissors, and 4 attachments for the blade, and all were of nice quality. The price of this unit and how it trimmed up my dog I would buy again. I couldn’t believe how the clippers didn’t bother him at all. He is pretty good at being shaved, but the noise and vibration was a lot better that my old clippers. I try and shave him when I have time and I’m not rushed. As long as his hair had gotten it was like he enjoyed get his nice new short hair cut for the summer (we live in the south). Thanks for such a good product because I had read review after review and went with these for my smaller size dog.

I like the hair buzzer, it runs very smoothly and easily removes our dog’s fur. It’s not super loud (although we did have to introduce it to our dogs for a couple days first with treats because it was new to them and does have a noise which did scare them at first) and it charges fairly quickly. It does come with a lot of accessories as well for a great price and that is appreciated! Only issue is that the scissor does not work at all, it doesn’t cut and it very dull, unfortunately. I tried trimming the fur in different areas even with different methods and angles but still it didn’t work, doesn’t cut. I even tried cutting my own hair and it didn’t work. If the scissor can be replaced or refunded that would be truly appreciated. Other than that it is so awesome to cut your dog’s fur at home with your own care and love. Thank you!

Trimmer is good Worth items in this price But remaining accessories is very low quality

Have had some time to test this kit out on my golden retriever and I have to say it is great value for the money. He does not like alot of loud sounds and the trimmer is very quiet, he is still curious, but it makes it alot easier to get close. The kit comes with a bunch of other stuff that I needed, like the comb and scissor, which are very sharp and work great. Overall this is a 5 star for me, allows me to do alot of the grooming at home.

Good machine, working perfectly

Love this product so much. Only disappointing aspects is that the battery does die fast. Have to charge it again to fully get through the grooming process other than that it works really well. Once you get use to the settings your grooming process becomes easier
