Kershaw Mini Biner with Anodized Aluminum Handle

After my carabiner broke, i had nowhere to attach my car keys, i hate looking through my pockets. After some searching on amazon, i came across this. This is insanely perfect. I wanted a red carabiner with a black gate, but all others sold them with a silver gate, plus this is has SO many other features.Pros:-the knife is stainless steel, its pretty sharp to come with, but i filed it to a razor edge-when the knife is open, the body of the carabiner provides much needed grip, and im a pretty big guy, 6' and this is nimble in my hands-the springs and bearings for the opening mechanisms are very high quality, strong gate spring and the bearing creates tension when opening knife (extra security so it wont open on you suddenly)Cons:- the gate door opens a little less then regular carabiners and the space is a bit narrower, so if you have wide belt loops, this aint gonna work- easy to forget you have it on, so be careful when going through security checkpointsThis is such a great buy,for yourself or as a gift, its a precision quality tool that attaches anywhere and is pretty much, no thought about it, 5 stars

I was using a carabiner to hold my keys, and I had a pocket knife I would carry in my pocket (when I remembered to take it). It seemed like I never actually had my knife when I needed it. I saw this carabiner/knife combo and decided to give it a try. I love it! It's just a tiny bit thicker than the caribiner I used to carry my keys, and now I always have my knife with me. It won't replace a big "real" pocket knife, but it is exactly what I wanted for my purposes (ie. opening packages, cutting string, etc.). I can't tell you how many times I have been somewhere when someone needed a knife, and I was the only one who had one handy.It seems like a good quality. I haven't had any problems with mine. I've had mine (silver color) for about a year or so, and it still looks new and is still very sharp.This is actually the second knife I have purchased..... This one (black color)is for my husband.

Unlike many of the "Made-In-USA" offering from Kershaw, these are Made in China.The knife quality is good and the body of the carabiner holds up well, but after 7 months of daily use, the spring for closure of the gate has weakened considerably. It no longer stays completely closed and the alignment must be done manually, as there is now a considerable amount of play in the assembly.They do offer lifetime warranty, but they have you mail it to them and it takes 4+ weeks for processing. Considering the cost of postage and loss of use, it is more practical to buy new. I am now back to carrying a stand-alone Kershaw Knife (1970ST) and a $5 S-Biner.

I bought the plastic National Geographic version of this carabiner a few years ago. It never did spring closed securely but the small lock bade knife was like a razor. The spring on the other one finally died and I did send it back for repairs. I like this model but, wish that the blade locked and that it could be opened onehanded. This is the perfect size for carring a small set of keys and for opening packages which is what I mainly use it for. I carry a Leatherman Surge everyday at work but, many times I reach for the Kershaw for smal jobs. This is a handy product and I do carry my extra set of keys on it everyday. I do own several other Kershaw products that have never failed. The blades really hold a edge and I love their assisted opening line. If they would have used the blade and lock from the plastic model on this model I would have been very happy.GW, Baltimore

I thought Kershaw made a quality product. I got a cheap 6 dollar carabiner knife on ebay that was sturdier and more dependable. When the mini biner clip closes (better described as failes to close) it seldom finds the slot it is meant to enter. This means the carabiner doesn't completely close ("clip shut"). I have to try to feel and wiggle the clip to get it in the slot. The idea of the carabiner is to quickly and securely attach the knife and keys to your belt loop. With this cheaply built clip the process is neither quick nor secure. If it were held together by screws instead of rivets perhaps it could be adjusted.I called Kershaw and they claimed they had "no complaints". It baffles me how people can tolerate such a poorly designed product. If it doesn't work on day one how good will it be next year? Don't waste your money.

I like to have carabiner on my keys to attach it to my cloth anytime. Strong spring, gate plays a little, but ok. Blade nice and sturdy, no play whatsoever, sharp out of the box and stays sharp after moderate use. Open bottles with it too. I have found a lot of use for this item in the past 4 weeks. The bigger version is even better but a bit too bulky for keys. Will recommend to a friend or buy as a gift.

Have bought several like this, I like having a knife handy to open boxes for work, etc. This one is smaller than most, which is a plus for me and handled my few keys just perfectly. The knife seems solid and easily slices through most consumer packaging. Have had for a few months now, using everyday and still going strong, the blade hasn't significantly dulled yet. Very happy with this purchase!

A little small in my big hands, but makes a great keychain dangler that could come in quite useful. So it's not sharp as a scalpel. So what. If you go camping and have a child say 8 or 9 and up, they would love this to hang off a belt buckle. Also it is not a locking blade which I find better for smaller hands lacking some dexterity needed in unlocking a blade.
