Wizard 2-Wheel Baseball Pitching Machine

I was looking for an affordable 2-wheel machine for our new batting cage. I researched and saw the Rawlings 2-wheel machine. Well, it is not being made anymore…. But wait, Spinball made the machine for Rawlings and is still making it under their own name. The first thing I did wrong, I was reading the card for machine setup vertically. The card is meant to be viewed horizontally. Yeah, I felt like an idiot. It was throwing screwballs. After getting the machine in the correct orientation, it was grooving 4 seam fastball strikes, with leather baseballs. The machine is built tough, it does not weigh a ton. The set up is done in just a few minutes. So far I am very happy with the purchase. And bonus. It is made in Mt. Vernon Illinois!

Amazing machine and amazing service. This is a simple and durable machine. It stopped working, and I sent an email. They called me the same day— a Sunday. Told me that it was probably a loose wire (it was!) and just slipped it into place. The machine is great and easy to use and transport. Love the machine and the amazing customer service!!

This machine is everything they said it would be. We use it for baseball and have pitched two different dimpled balls through it. I don't know about the different ball settings because adjusting for hard balls vs dimpled. Too complicated and directions are confusing.Its also heavy and difficult to transport. Good solid machine for pitching. The engineers might want to work on a better system to carry.

The machine works well. The only difference between this and the Rawlings machine is the digital readout on the Rawlings. It is mechanically identical other than that.

Only 50% of the balls are hitting the strike zone. This is true with dimpled balls or Baden machine balls. I use a fine sandpaper to clean wheels. The speed can vary dramatically sometimes also.

The machine throws a variety of pitches from any angle at any speed. Easy to adjust. It can throw monster fly balls too. The name sounds gimmicky, but it is absolutely legitimate. Everyone wants value and it is a great value.
