Bags of Inspiration: 15 Elegant Bags to Make and Embellish

The book gives a lot of embellishment details, but I was looking for patterns and diferent styles of bags. I ordered this book after reading a review in the paper. It is very disappointing for me, although if you are more 'arty' it may work for you.

Stunning ideas and good instructions. Wish I had time to make them all. This book is for people who want to make a piece of art.

great ideas for scrap and upcycle projects

Not really what I was hoping for which is the only reason I gave low stars. For anyone who doesn't already have bag patterns and would like variations of the same bag it would be a good buy. It's well written and the ideas, patterns and explanations are clear and easy to follow. Detailed explanations for creating texture and dimension for anyone who hasn't explored these techniques before. A good buy for someone new to bag making.

I'm blown away by this book. Such stunning photographs and very clear instructions. Even if you are not interested in making a bag, this book will inspire you in so many ways. Disregard the number of bags, just look at the fantastic photography and you can apply them to any textile project you have in mind. I nearly didn't buy it as I was not planning on making a bag and it was only that one of the bags on the cover grabbed my attention. However, I am so glad I did buy it now!

This was a great incentive for me to try knitting a bag and I eventually succeeded. I gave the book to someone else when I was finish with it, so two happy people.

another book on bags just call me the bag lady but what a differance these are will keep me busy
