I love this thing. My wife loves coconuts. 2 good slams from the hammer and your in!. Great sir opening super fast and easy. Very satisfyingly heavy. Nice bag to store the stuff it. One thing to make sure you realize is that this is for YOUNG COCONUTS ONLY. this will NOT work of mature coconuts. If you try it will crack in all the way down the shell and your water will all be gone. Ask me how I know... that being said I dont think it's made for those so it's ok lol. I was just a dummy for trying. It is a little pricey though to be honest...

Very easy to use!! I opened my coconut in less than 20 seconds. Three to 4 hard hits with the rubber hammer/mallet and it was open. After one use the mallet had small slices in it. Not sure how long the hammer will last. Also the coconut cutter black handle spins which is annoying. Note: I've only used it once.

A produce guy at Whole Foods recommended this tool when i complained about how hard it was for me to get the coconut water out of the coconut. He went in the back and got it out and showed me how to use it although there are lots of how to videos on youtube about it too. Fresh Coconut water is so healthy (It's not the kind that's dead from pasteurization found in the cans) and this tool makes is so easy to drink fresh. I love it.

Bought this after nearly hacking my wrist off with a Bowie knife trying to open a YOUNG coconut. This only works on young coconuts (white on the outside and softer than brown coconut). Makes opening safe and easy. My 14 stitches prove that a knife is not the answer.

White mallet was too soft and it was taking forever to get the coconuts opened. I had to buy a mallet from Home Depot, it made a huge difference! Other than that, the other tools it comes with were fine.

Do you live coconuts? This is a staple. Changed my life. I no longer need to buy coconuts from juice places when I can buy the real ones for cheap and open at home.I use this heavily to open my young Thai coconuts to make yogurt. The sharp edges are sharp so be careful.

This thing is awesome! I LOVE fresh coconut but I never buy it because opening it is such a task. A friend suggested a coconut opener and I found this. Works great and makes it kind of a fun process too! Would definitely reccomend if you are a fan of fresh coconuts !

It took less than a minute to open my young coconut perfectly! I don’t know about durability, but I have been using it for a few weeks, everyday opening 3-5 coconuts. So far so good. I love it. Finally, no wasting of coconut water. Yay.
