The shoes are reasonably well machined and the rubber foot is useful if movement is to be avoided (I'd prefer felt but this isn't a big issue). The shoes are supplied in a little case - a nice touch. Functional and reasonably well made. A good price for a decent spike shoe

These brushed stainless steel spike shoes are perfect for protecting floors from subwoofer and floor standing speaker spikes. Solid and packaged well. Will recommend.

These are fair value for the money. Not quite as heavy as expected and not quite as well machined and hence bright as expected. Hence one star dropped.

Anyone with a floor that they want to protect should consider getting a set or three of these. Excellently packaged and finished to a very high standard, these beat standing your speakers on pennies by a country mile. The grippy felt-style backing is a nice touch and further reduces scratch potential for the floor. Depending upon the weight of your speakers it can be a bit tricky to position them precisely under the spike but that is where a small blob of Blutack™ comes in really handy.

Spikes on audio furniture only make sense if you have carpet. I no longer have much carpet downstairs - I didn't worry too much until my cleaner moved the furniture. Ouch!So, these won't stop a stupid cleaner, but they'll definitely keep the spikes out of the wood. They're also shiny, well made, and do the job they're supposed to without being sold at crazy 'audiophile' prices. They even come in a surprisingly nice box.

Needed the extra 4 for my hifi stack - they match the ones for my speakers - and the laminate floor needs protecting . So very pleased with the final result
