BEAUTIFUL & ENTHRALLING GAME!
A beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing Game to the eye this one!I was sold on this Game the first time I saw the Dice! I’m a sucker for any Games that have lots of nice dice – and particularly when they are either different, novel or excellent quality as they are in this Game! All the colours used in this Game make it bright and cheerful. This great Game is all about the future, robots, and manufacturing industries. The dice play their bit for the most part in a non-luck way, which is pretty unique, and may be hard for anyone who has not played this yet to understand or appreciate. Basically, you get to roll the set of five dice (each player is given five at the outset) just ONCE – thereafter, the dice are ‘calibrated’, by purchases you make of various types of Robots that have abilities that help change them, and so a lot of skill and prudence is needed when you are purchasing your Bots! The dice are particularly beautiful, as they are bright, easy to read, and have a sort of ‘futuristic’, but traditionally SF and ‘robotic’ machine design to them.We could not fault this Game, as it is both enthralling, absorbing and challenging too! Our only complaint is as with so many games these days (and so therefore felt it unfair to knock any stars off for it) is for the fact that we are finding more and more nowadays, that we have to go ‘Online’ in order to fathom some rule problems. The Rules are not written well in this Game. In one part at the beginning, it doesn’t even tell you why certain pieces are placed in a certain way; or what purpose they serve – you will only find this out, either at the end of the game - or you seek the information on the Web.The box too is EXTREMELY nice quality which is only enhanced by the colour used, which has a sort of ‘raised’ image. Very tactile.A most BEAUTIFUL and enjoyable satisfying Game to play!

My 6 year old can play it and the dice are lovely
It's a great little game that requires planning to win. The components are very "net runner" which I like

Liked the idea but not enough depth. Some strategy.

A fantastic blend of worker placement, area control and dice manipulation
Fantastic game. Sentient has that perfect mix for all board games – easy to learn, yet a decent amount of strategy. Each round players send out their workers to recruit robots from the market. Each robot you recruit gets put onto your personal board which contains 5 dice that you roll at the beginning of the round. When recruiting a robot you must place it between two of the dice and then adjust them according to the robot's programming (they might require you to increase the left or right die number by one, reduce it by one or keep it as it is). But there's more, because by the end of the round the dice on either side of a robot must meet a specific condition in order for that robot to score you any points, and each robot's condition is different. Examples of conditions include the need for both flanking dice to be odd, for the left flanking die to be higher than the right flanking die, for the two dice to add up to a certain number, and so on.You quickly realise that the position of where you place your robots is vital, as programming them into your system will affect the dice around them, and this in turn could affect the activation of any neighbouring robots. All this leads to an intriguing puzzle and strategy game, that is further deepened by the inclusion of assistant workers (who can help mitigate any programming effects) and winning investors (who will give you more points at the end of the game for each robot you have of a specific type).Although the game really is easy to learn it is a little difficult to describe, so I recommend watching videos on Youtube if you're still unsure of how it works. It comes with proper heavy dice which is nice and at 2 players the game takes less than half an hour. We always enjoy playing Sentient and so if you want a good-looking, puzzle-solving and easy-going game, then this is definitely one you should consider.
