I finally got to use my new engraver and found it a bit large in my grip, but easy to use. The engraver was smooth on some surfaces but "jumpy" on others. With practice it became easier to engrave on the harder surfaces. Make sure the cord is on your dominant side or it will get in the way (I know, no brainer). This is a good value for the cost.

I was looking for a "pencil-like" tool to do some small freehand engraving jobs (mostly in hard aluminum). This looked like it might do, and I was not disappointed. It is probably too much to ask that such a tool be "Made in the USA" (this one is made in China, of course), and it looks kind of cheap, but it may hold up if I treat it gently and don't abuse it. There are many bits included in the kit, and several look to be the same (multiples/spares for when they wear out?). I haven't examined each one closely and compared them to be sure, but that is probably the case, but there are also several different types/shapes. I'm not sure it would be easy to find replacement bits if needed, so having a few spares is a good idea. The power cord attaches with a 1/8" jack (similar to a headphone jack) and the power cord is only about 34" long, so you'll likely need an extension cord. The motor easily bogs down if you apply too much pressure, so go gently with multiple passes. Although it says you can drill with it, I wouldn't try it except through the softest materials. But "you get what you pay for" and so far it does what I expected it to do. Not worth a 5 star rating, but good enough for what I needed.

This product is okay. The tips are really hard to remove and replace. Some times it's easy to do and some times it take 5 mins to try and remove the tips. - does not make a deep carve or engraving, very light -on the product it says "manicure and pedicure" so not really what I need -glad that it did come with many tips, could be useful for the right application Will be returning

It arrived quickly. The kit was more than I expected. Really nice kit. First time engraving and I was quite successful and pleased with the outcome. I engraved freehand on a padlock. I used the electric pen with a diamond tipped attachment. You receive a whole line up of tips in different sizes. You will find everything you need for free hand engraving or use the enclosed stencils of letters and numbers.

So I don't use the engraver because I can't. I can't understand what goes through peoples' heads when they design things. I shouldn't have to go buy an extension cord because the engravers cord is crazy short. I use the the scriber pen. That little pen is great. I'm not sure how the engraver tool is useless for me. Kind of upsetting. Update /15/2023 I broke the engraver out this evening and wouldn't you know it? The bits don't stay in the machine. I started with a single line, and the bit flew out. So I thought maybe I didn't tighten it good enough. Five times later, I gave up. It's just not a well put together tool. Dropping it down to 1 star.

The size is good, its easy to use, and works well on glass that is why I bought it. The product pictures on Amazon make it look bigger than it is. Comes with a ton of different accessorie tips for different types of angle or whatever you need to engrave. Can use it for manacure or whatever. Works good though that's all I care about.

This thing is basically a less powerful, cheaper version of a Dremel with a lot of bits for engraving. That's not a bad thing - you get a lot for $18. I found the scoring tool to be particularly useful if you want to get precise with your engravings. Tape a stencil to the glass and hit the edges with the scoring tool, then carefully work your way through the inside with an appropriately sized bit. I was able to stencil some pretty small letters on a small bottle this way. I would definitely recommend it, it does that you want it to and is a great value.

Well all i can say is it’s worth for money. It comes with different kind of bits which is great. But quality of those bits are not super nice. Tried to engrave names of steel tools it worked but not deep enough. Works well on wood or plastic. It also comes with stencils which is nice and handy. And quality of motor itself not bad. Would be much better if wire length is lil bit longer.
