* All pictures are of fully grown plants. Sizes shipped are in the title. * Deciduous plants do not have leaves in the winter!* Plants are shipped in 6 inch containers with soilless media and a 9 month slow release fertilizer.* (No California).----------PLANT SPECIFICATIONS---------- Zone: 3-9 Full Sun - Part Sun Mature Height: 5- 6' Spread: 6-7' Growth rate: fast Bloom: Rose-Mauve-White Bloom Time: Early Summer through Mid Fall Of the colored hydrangea paniculatas (Pee Gee type hydrangea) Pink Diamond is my personal favorite due to it's bright bloom and fall color. These trees can be grown to about 12 feet tall. In the landscape this plant should be used as a lone specimen or massed in the larger landscape where it can be viewed from a distance. White blooms appear in 12-inch long and 8-inch wide panicles in midsummer and fall; as the flower clusters age they take on a delicate pink blush. Unlike older forms of this shrub, Pink Diamond holds its blooms upright. WE DO NOT PRUNE THEM INTO TREE FORM! THAT IS FOR YOU TO DO LATER IN THE PLANT'S LIFE! THEY ARE TOO YOUNG FOR THAT YET!

One lived, one died
When I received these last year, one of the plants had some sort of bugs in the pot it came in so I sprayed it with a bug killer and it seemed OK.Sadly the one that had the bug did not manage to survive, but it was a very cold winter and even though the Hydrangea was well sheltered it could have been the cold that polished it off.The surviving one was in a more exposed location but seems to be doing just fine. I am looking forward to getting a floral display from it this summer.

Not perfect, but good enough
These plants are not perfect, but good enough. In addition, the packaging and shipping was excellent! More than worth the price (and time) to let them grow for a season on our deck in large pots. BTW, I just bought a second set

and they were like a stick when they arrived (about 2ft tall
I held off and ordered these in the Fall of 2015, and they were like a stick when they arrived (about 2ft tall, and no leaves, as was expected). The first Summer, they grew tremendously and were all (3) absolutely covered in blooms. I am extremely happy, and also glad I waited to plant them in the Fall. I didn't do anything special when I planted them. Just dug the hole and put them in. I did put burlap around them for the Winter, but we actually had a mild Winter here in Chicago, so maybe that helped them. VERY pleased.

So far I have brought two trees from Das Farms and I'm very satisfied wih my purchases. Each time they arrived in nice packaging and they were both very healthy, and planting was easy.I had a few questions prior to receiving my trees and a staff member answered my questions right away.Overall I had a good experience and I highly recommend Das farms!
