SeaKlear AquaPill AP73 12,000 Gallon Solar Pill for Swimming Pool Heating

We have used these solar balls for years. We usually only use them until the weather really warms up the water but these solar balls really speed up the process.

I’ve had this pill in my skimmer (like the directions say) for about a week. I popped the seal with the tool provided like the directions say. This pill is still full of liquid. It doesn’t want to come out of the pill. At first I thought maybe it was full of pool water so I tried to shake it out to see. Nope. Out came yellow goop. In the mean time, we’ve seen record breaking highs and no rain so the evaporation rate of the pool water has not improved in the least. Maybe if the goop would come out, the product would work. Who knows? Certainly not me.

But it’s been in there 2days water still freezing first on worked fast

This pill works great and as it describes. It helps keep the water from freezing so much and honestly the water was almost swim-able when we took the cover off. We buy every year. Definitely recommend.

I found the Solar Pill to keep the water warmer and lower the amount of evaporation but it was not as effective as a solar blanket. It certainly is more convenient and easier to use and also eliminates the need to store the solar blanket during the summer season. Since the solar blankets I have used last only about 2-3 ears before drying out the Solar Pill cost comes out to be almost the same.

I was on the fence about trying this product. We have always used a solar cover on our pool. We live near Chicago so we have to maintain pool temps as best we can so that we are able to use the pool. We opened our pool last week and the water was a chilly 64 degrees. I threw the SolarPill in and a week later the water temp is already up to 78. I am a big believer in this product. Thanks for saving me the hassle of moving our solar cover on and off!!

Didn’t really work.

This Aquapill exploded during shipping. When I took it out of the box it leaked chemicals all over my kitchen. I threw it away because I didn’t want to make a larger mess by putting it in my car to return it somewhere. But now I cannot get a replacement, or a refund because I no longer have the item! I took photos before I threw it away but in order to receive a refund you have to return the item. So I would have leaked more chemicals all over my car and the poor person at kohls!? That is outrageous to me. I just want what I paid for!
