Evangelism Made Exciting and Truly Doable!
I got this book after my sister shared with me her own experiences of doing the Treasure Hunt and then inviting me to go on one as well. I've always loved treasure hunts and have created many for my kids, nephews, nieces and others - even for adults, so the concept of combining something I love creating and participating in WITH GOD was a perfect match for me. No matter where you are in your walk with the Lord, this book IS for YOU. Like public speaking, evangelism can be a frightening idea for many Christians, yet we all know we are to do this. This book guides you into an outright fun way to do it. If you desire to hear (more) from God, receive words of knowledge (or learn what that even is), share the good news of God's love for an individual and His personal caring, as well as open yourself up to seeing His healing hand/miracles, this book can motivate, equip, empower and encourage you to do just that. This is a fantastic evangelism tool for churches and small groups! If you truly want to work past your intimidation of reaching out, this is a great and fun way to do it. Bring your kids along, too, as they sometimes have insight that we adults don't. God can and will use them for evangelism. God is smiling already at you for even considering stepping out to find His treasures. And remember - He is going with you. You're not alone. One of my personal Treasure Hunting experiences - Upon leaving a church service located in the mall, I asked God if there was someone He wanted me to find. He quickly answered with, 'Yes'. (Of course He said, Yes!) He told me to find a woman wearing purple in the food court. Since it was only 10:30 am on Sunday, the mall stores and food court weren't even open yet and wouldn't for another hour to an hour and a half!! There was hardly anyone even in the mall. The whole while walking to the food court (quite a distance) I'm asking God what I should do if no one is there. No one would be because it wasn't even open yet! I passed, at most 3 people the whole distance. So I finally reach the food court and sure enough, there isn't a single person there - I mean NO ONE. Every seat was empty and no one was walking around. I finally pass the center deli and pass a couple walking down the hall (woman was wearing white) and continue looking on the other side of this deli to try to find SOMEone, ANYone - but it is totally empty when it hits me. The woman I just passed has a purple shirt under her white sweater! I turn and ask God if this is the one. (I heard the 'Spirit of Stupid'.) :-) Anyway, I knew she was the one. So I turned around and slowly began walking apprehensively in their direction, slowly picking up speed as the confidence just began to overtake me until I wanted to run to catch her because I knew this was the Treasure! By the time I finally caught up to her, we were almost back to the church. I started off with the recommendation in the book of, "You are probably going to think this is really weird, but....." Anyway, I told her God wanted me to find a woman wearing purple at the food court and that God wanted me to tell her that God saw her as royalty. Purple is the color representing royalty. The look on her face and the conversation that followed was truly of God. They hadn't gone to church in a very long time and were recently considering trying to find a church. Her husband(?) said he was even a pastor (or something like that), but clearly they had fallen away from God. I believe this was God-ordained and that it was a much needed seed to encourage them that God is reaching for them waiting for them to return. They asked about the church which was just a few feet away (and was starting their next service in about 10 minutes). I prayed with them that God would lead them to the church HE wanted them to attend and said good-bye. I then left, got to my car, and the song that was playing when I started it was 'Majesty'. God gave me the confirmation that I heard and responded as He wanted me to.One more comment about the book - It points out, and I believe totally correctly so, that even if we heard incorrectly, God honors our willingness to step out for Him!!!!!!! He will never stop teaching us. He wants us to hear from Him and wants us to know we heard correctly - thus the confirmations.

Woman Instantly Healed of Knee Pain
We have done these sort of evangelistic encounters before but wanted to understand the whole story behind the Ultimate Treasure Hunt. The stories in the book not only helped us equip others but encouraged us as as we enbarked on this unique and fun approach to finding the lost and the blind and inviting them to the wedding banquet of the Lamb. It isn't a gimmick, just a new way of looking at others and even yourself in Christ. We are His treasures. We too were lost and have been found. The guidelines explained in this book are very simple that even children can use them. We took a group out and explained to them the basic premise and set our on our way. Along with various testimonies, we prayed for a woman who had knee pain and walked with a limp and a cane. After we prayed, she said she was healed and didn't need the cane anymore, walking away with it in her arms and absolutely no limp. The book even shows you that once you learn to look for treasures, you don't need the clues and the map and so forth. It is a technique that builds faith on both ends and engages people in God's will - which is to draw all men to himself.I believe this book not only can equip you to lead others into a new way to evangelize, but can also help you to hear from God and make evengelism a part of your lifestyle. The theme of the Treasure Hunt is just a unique way of looking at finding those God values and facilitates a friendly approach to help usher them into the kingdom. Ultimately, it is God who does the cleaning, but it is his command to us to do the catching.

a way of supernatural evangelism
the Treasure Hunt is a particularly excellent means of grassroots discipleship training; a fun way of supernatural evangelism for the transformation of Christian ministry.not to be confused with Easter egg hunts or pirate booty, this kind of Treasure Hunt is designed to find people who need a touch from the Most High--for encouragement, guidance, miraculous healing, etc. and such hunts--for eternal treasure--can be incorporated into the lifestyle of the common man.the author makes the point: 'a person does not need to do a Treasure Hunt to do supernatural evangelism'. through that understanding, the field opens up for the children of God to employ even greater measures to reach even larger groups of people. for example, some healing evangelists--who once prayed for one soul at a time--witnessed hundreds delivered from evil spirits at just one crusade in Africa.the advent(coming into season) of the Treasure Hunt is a revelation of the patient kindness of a loving God. Seek the One Pearl
If any Believer in Christ has a desire to step out of their comfort zone; if any of you has a deeper desire to encounter God's treasures; if any one of us wishes to be a witness of God's love to those who suffer physically, emotionally, mentally and are just plain fed up with their circumstances... then Treasure Hunt is a good place to start your journey!Kevin Dedmon very candidly shares his own testimonies and brings the Word of God to life, as he describes the ways he and his other hunters seek to save the lost. This is not a formula to be followed, but an encouraging way of life that God expects of all of us.The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure buried in a field. When a man discovered it, he buried it again. He was so delighted with it that he went away, sold everything he had, and bought that field. In Matthew 13, Jesus shares with us, “Also, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant who was searching for fine pearls. When he found a valuable pearl, he went away, sold everything he had, and bought it."Seek that treasure that God has hidden... that one pearl... and rejoice when it is found!

PRINTING ERRORs AND MISSING PARTS
The page numbering in the book is wrong and there is no Appendix B as the Table of Contents states. I contacted them and they said it was a printing error. Then I returned it and they sent a replacement book which had the same problem.

we can reach out in a transforming way and with God's love and compassion
I bought this book because I had recently started a supernatural evangelism course despite having always thought that supernatural evangelism was for those with special gifts. However, this book showed me that anyone walking with God can evangelise supernaturally because it doesn't depend on us ultimately - we are just the channel. It explains how we can be instruments in reaching people where they are at without being pushy and dogmatic. It helped me to understand that the mission field isn't just something one does abroad, but there is one right on our doorstep and just by interacting with those strangers we chat to on a daily basis, or our neighbours, friends etc., we can reach out in a transforming way and with God's love and compassion. It has challenged me on how easy it is to move forward into the prophetic. An easy book to read, thought provoking and challenging - you won't want to put it down.

Power evangelism to make a difference around you
The author is part of the pastoral leadership of Bethel, Redding, Californa. The very strong anointing for evangelism led him and his family to a lifestyle of risk, the miracles which have been taking place along their path are outstanding.Being sent out onto the streets, getting words of Knowledge from God about injuries and sicknesses of people, he wants to restore and heal is the most amazing thing to be part of. When the Holy Spirit touches people with just a simple word, which goes straight into their hearts, brings heaven on earth to make this place a better place.
