Great book. Delivered on time. A very complete treatment of the subject.

I bought this book mostly for the section on Microworms. This book does a good job explaining how to maintain various cultures and has a lot of great pictures.

I am a 30-year hobbyist and aquarium hobby historian. This is undoubtedly one of the most important works ever written for the hobby, dispelling many myths and providing new tips, all through experimentation and the hands-on expertise of one of North America's greatest and most renown fish breeders (Mike Hellweg). The organization of the book (by size of food / fry) is brilliant and practical. The color photos throughout, many at the minute level, make it a visual enjoyment to boot.Even if you thought you knew all you need to know on live foods, YOU DON'T until you read this book!- Dr. Ted Coletti

This subject my be a turn-off for lots of people, but it is just what my fish have been wanting for years! Now that I've put some of these suggestions into practice, they have begun to be more active and appear healthier. Since most of them would eat live food in the wild, this is completely normal and natural for them. The book is the most comprehensive one I could find on the subject, addressing every aspect of live food culture. If you're not sure you want to try doing it, at least get this book so you can see what it entails before rejecting the idea out of hand.

At last I found a copy that I could afford and I was not disappointed! Such lovely photos and great step by step info on raising feeders for my fish. I love this book! Thank you Mike!

Seems complete. I had not searched this subject previously. Seems to cover the subject. I am sure one can get additional information off the web but this has good summaries and explain various types and sizes of live foods that can be used.

The best book ever written in live foods. A must own for any serious fish keeper or breeder. We need an updated edition desperately.

An excellent book that should be in every serious fishkeeper's book collection. It gives plenty of details on how to culture certain easily obtainable live foods.
