I hesitated for weeks on these because it felt ridiculous to spend $100 on trash cans, but i have 0 regrets! These fit so perfectly into my smaller under-sink cabinet. Installation was crazy easy and the included screws are the proper length as not to go all the way through a standard cabinet. These are super well made with smooth sliding action.

I seldom write reviews but this product warrants the effort. After we did some minor kitchen renovations I found that I now had the room in my tiny kitchen to tuck the trash can into a cabinet and began to research what was out there for in-cabinet trash cans - both locally and online. Ultimately, after reading the reviews here and comparing that information to similar products that I saw in local stores, I decided to go with this SimpleHuman model. Since I already owned a SimpleHuman freestanding trash can (the half circle shaped floor model) I can already attest to how well made Simple Human products are; and I also already had confidence in ordering from Amazon after years of doing so. Additionally, all my current can has ever needed is a quick wipe with a damp sponge. My grandchildren love the pedal in front of it so it has taken a beating and the lift mechanism just keeps on going. I had concerns about other reviewers experiences with the slide out not coming far enough out to clear the drawer above it so I carefully measured. This was of particular concern to me as we have newly painted cabinets with replacement drawer fronts that I didn't want to nick, also, I elected to have brushed nickel bar shaped drawer pulls that extend out a full 1-1/2 inches more which added to the nail biting decision :). My cabinet is a standard one with an opening of approx 14 inches wide and 21 inches in height and 23" inches deep so I knew it would fit properly. I crossed my fingers, placed the order, and waited for UPS. When I pulled it from the box, I was happy to note the sturdy frame and knew I had made the right choice. The installation was pretty painless, too. The directions are written plainly and clearly which is a joy - just grab your tape measure, drill to make pilot holes, and screwdriver, and decide where you want the unit placed in your cabinet. I elected to have it sit a little to the right (not centered) which gave me room for a small organizer on the left wall and still plenty of room to freely operate the slideout. I keep fresh trash bags under the under bag in the can so they are readily available. The directions tell you that due to the unit's curved handle, you need to place it a minimum of 2 inches behind the front lip of the cabinet which I did - although, you can install it much further back if that works for you. My unit clears the drawer and bar pull very neatly. No need to pull the entire can out to pull the trash bag out. The supply of 13 gallon trash bags that we bought at Costco fit the can perfectly (bag does NOT slip down at all) (of course, it's SimpleHuman) so we haven't wasted what we already purchased. I've never been happier and I'm somewhat amused that a trash can has been such a major difference in our lives. Now if we can only stop walking past the cabinet where the new can is, to the spot where the old can used to be with a handful of trash we'd be in great shape, lol. This was money very well spent and our old freestanding can (after a good scrubbing) is now gracing our daughter's home. The little ones are thrilled ...

Great bin and well designed. I just love that it's at waist height and the size works for my needs. It fits perfectly and my door isn't bothered by it either. If they made one a bit longer to hold more I'd buy it. The lid closes tight, it's sturdy and doesn't move around. The bag is a perfect fit and the price for them is reasonable as well.

I love this trash can. I have hung mine off of one of the drawers at my desk. I did have to take the top knob off to get it on. I can easily still pull the double drawer out by merely pulling out on the trash can... it's a snap. I wanted black to go with my black computer set up. This can looks great, works great... is very stable, sturdy and attractive, blending right into my black desk. It's just the right size too... I create a lot of miscellaneous trash and my desk, at the end of the day, would be cluttered with little snippets of papers/notes, and what-have-you/. Now it's so easy to toss something in the trash as it's right beside me as I sit at the computer. I would definitely buy this again. This came very well packed, and short of dropping it from the cargo hold of an airplane in flight, or running over it with the mail van, I don't see how it can arrive in anything other than pristine condition. Love it, and would buy it again. Update: I really feel stupid.... I didn't have to take the drawer knob off... I just put it back on... I merely had to slide the handle of the trash flush with the right side of the door and it would have fit the drawer perfectly. Darn and Double Darn.... now it's absolutely perfect. Update: This is going on my Christmas list for at least three people with computer desks that I know. Everyone who happens to stand by me while I'm the computer, looks at this trash can and marvels at it... I get comments... "Where'd you get this, I want one." or "This is great." I just hope they've all forgotten by the time they get home where I got it because I need all the gift ideas I can get.

I live in a one-bedroom apartment, so I was very happy to find an under-the-sink design that included both trash and recycling. The compact design means I can still use the other side of my under-the-sink area for much needed storage. The unit pulls out smoothly every time. It was very simple to install using a drill, and I imagine you could even use push-pins, duct tape, or command strips if you don't have one. This product works great for our household, but I'm not sure it'll work for everyone. If you're thinking about purchasing this item, here are some points you should definitely consider: 1. As other buyers have mentioned, these cans do not fit standard trash bags. You will need to purchase their custom-fit liners which are a bit pricier. These bins are small. This works great for our small apartment, but if we lived in a bigger residence with more storage space, the frequency with which we need to take trash out (and the amount of bags we use) would certainly get annoying. I live with my boyfriend and we need to take recycling out once a day. If we had children (we do not), I imagine we'd need to do so multiple times in one day. 3. We use recycling WAY more than we use trash. The picture does not very clearly show that the recycling bin IS smaller than the trash. I really wish they made a model with the same size bins, or possibly a bigger recycling bin. You could always use the black for recycling and the blue for trash, but we opted not to since it confuses guests. 4. Although the pull-out piece (which holds the bins) can be separated from the track, it is VERY difficult to do using the tiny levers. It requires two people and often results in smooshed fingers. Now I opt to simply take the cans out when I need to clean the bottom of the cabinets, but this does make cleaning more difficult. If you live in a small apartment or dorm like I do then this product can be a real space saver for you. Otherwise, you'll want to consider the above points closely before deciding to purchase.

While I originally thought that paying $80 or so for an under-counter trash bin was extravagant (my last one cost me $50), after installing it and using it for a few weeks I now think it was money well spent. This trash bin is the smoothest-operating bin I have ever had, it fits better in the space under my sink than my last one (similar trash capacity), which had to be installed at an angle to clear a water line & valve (this one sits nice and square), and generally has a more substantial "feel" to it (subjective, I know). Even when full, it still takes little effort to pull it out or push it back. Just a 1-finger tug or push. Capacity was important to me, and this one is perfectly adequate (at least the same as my previous bin) and, although it came with a starter pack of simplehuman's type K bags (which are very good trash bags, I discovered), it readily takes the standard white 13 gallon kitchen trash bags that I buy in bulk from the shopping club. Installation was relatively easy; unlike my previous bin, this one has the slides at the bottom held together by welded cross-braces, so they are always parallel and the only measurements needed are for front and side clearances (shown in the simple instructions provided, but also just common sense). This bottom frame is screwed to the cabinet floor by 8 Phillips-head wood screws (2 at each corner), which might be overkill when 4 screws may have been sufficient, but the 8 screws make for very sturdy installation. In my case, it was necessary to pre-drill the holes for the screws in the cabinet wood floor, otherwise they're just too tight trying to screw them into the wood (the screws provided are a substantial size), so having a power drill available may be handy. Drill bit size is not very critical, as long as it is a smaller diameter than the screw threads. To sum up, it looks nice, fits well, and is well-built, so I'm very happy with my purchase.

We took a chance and purchased this open box instead of new, which saved us money. Aside from the box itself being a little beaten up, the trash can and base/pull-out mechanism appeared to be new. Installation was easy, and we are very pleased with the quality, build and functionality of this unit. Of note, we had a previous version of this unit that lasted several years so we have trust in this brand. With the new unit, I like that there are eight screws to secure the base to the bottom of the cabinet. The older version only had four screws, which is probably why the base of the unit eventually pulled away from the bottom of the cabinet, causing it to bend and break apart.

Best trash can I’ve owned, but I’d still wait for a sale. I have it installed under the sink cabinet so it’s out of the way and hidden. Installation can be a bit of a hassle if doing it alone. You need to drill the frames down to anchor it, so it helps to have someone to hold things. I didn’t buy the bags to fit the bins, but the normal trash bags I had are fine in it for now. At some point when I run out of normal trash bags, I’ll be looking for the ones that fit better in these bins. The rack is super smooth after installation. No sticking or friction. There’s no lid for these bins, so be aware that the trash might smell depending on what you throw out. I like the smaller volume because it makes me clean up sooner without letting things just pile and pile.

Ich bin beeindruckt von dem simplehuman CW1124 30 Liter, ausziehbaren Abfalleimer. Er hat ein gutes Schienensystem, das ermöglicht, dass der Eimer leicht ausgezogen werden kann, um den Müll zu entleeren, ohne dass es zu einem großen Aufwand wird. Der Eimer hat auch perfekte Maße, er passt genau in meine Küche und es gibt genug Platz. Ich bin auch beeindruckt von der Qualität der Verarbeitung und der Materialien, es sieht sehr robust und langlebig aus. Ich kann diesen Abfalleimer nur empfehlen, er ist ein großer Pluspunkt in meiner Küche.

Having carefully measured this bin I'm pleased to say it is a perfect fit. It just hangs on the inside of the cupboard door and takes up very little space inside. I wasn't sure it would hold as much as the previous round one but I think it actually holds more. It seems well made and easy to keep clean, which was my main reason to change from the old one. They sent a pack of liners to try however I am disappointed that they are plastic as here in the UK we are trying to get rid of it. I will use something more eco-friendly.

Très belle qualité et facile à installer. La capacité est très bonne les 30l sont plus que suffisant, mais moi c est pour la poubelle recyclage car pas de couvercle et attention si vous jetez des crevettes vous allez embommer la maison. Pour le recyclage c est super je peut même jeter sans faire coulisser la poubelle.j ai pu l intégrer dans un volume plus petit que leur préconisations. Très bon choix
