So far, works very good!
Wanted to make sure to leave a review, since there wes not much helpful feedback on this product. I have an Epson 1261W projector in my theater room, used extensively for movies, streaming services, and rpg gaming, onto an 80" screen. The original bulb finally popped on my projector. Yes, I actually heard it pop, the lamp warning light started flashing. I cant say I didnt expect it to happen, since I did have at least 5-6000 hours on that original bulb. And it should be noted that for about the last month of the original bulb, the projector had been getting dimmer, I am sure the image on screen just wasn't as bright as it used to be. Also, in that last month, 2 different times in the middle of a movie, the original bulb did randomly turn off for about 5 seconds then quickly power back on. So, I suspected this was going to happen. I debated for some time on whether to order a replacement bulb direct from Epson for over $250, or trying one of these chinese knockoffs for about $50. There weren't many reviews on these cheaper bulbs from China, and it seemed like those varied a lot including several that were problematic. But, regardless, I thought it was worth a $50 gamble, so I ordered this one. Product arrived on time, was neatly packaged, had no visible damage. This replacement looks exactly like the original bulb, fitment into my projector was perfect. Good news is the projector powered right up and once it got to full brightness the image from this replacement appears to be just as bright as it was with the original bulb. My wife says this new one is brighter, but she also says she didnt notice the original getting dimmer. So, without a working original Epson bulb for comparison, Im believing this one is equal. Initially, there are only a couple of downsides. This new bulb does take much, much longer to come to full power, brightness. This new one takes at least 1-2 minutes to achieve full brightness. Whereas the original powered up so quickly I barely noticed, must have been under 5 seconds. Also, this new one is slightly louder. Yes, I could always hear the fan running, but with this new one the hum is slightly more noticeable, especially since the projector is directly overhead of where we sit. It's not so much that I would return it, and I would still have bought this one anyway, but it should be noted. The only other factor in this will be the longevity. I do realize that I got an exceptional life out of the original bulb. And with a Chinese knockoff, I don't expect to get the same. If this one gives me 1000 hours, I'll be coming out ahead. I have written this review on 4/29/2024, and will update this review when this bulb goes out. So until then, you can assume it is still working well, at 10-15 hour per week. Ultimately, I do recommend this purchase as a replacement projector bulb, and am giving 5 stars.

Easy installation but only last for feel days
Picture looks nice and simple. Installation was fine, It barely lasted a few days before it started flickering and eventually burned out completely. The brightness was never as strong as the original Epson lamp, and the picture quality looked dull right from the start.

Brightness on par with OE Epson.
Read the other reviews and this is on the same level of brightness if not brighter than the OE Epson bulb in our Home Cinema 5040UB Projector. Quality is on par with the original, the plastic is a lighter grey color but the functionality is all there and fitment is exact same and doesn't affect the picture quality in any negative way.
