The Bhagavad Gita - A8 Wooden Edition

This is my must carry in my bag, very pocket friendly, handy for a quick read and has a very classy antique type look, the wooden book shaped cover looks soo good and keeps the book safe from damage. And writings are quite clear even though the book is small palm sized. Lastly, the mini metal mayur pankh bookmark is an absolute beautiful.

While bhagvat geeta is available in many forms and affordable prices, this one is a work of art. The illustrations the cover and the case , everything is beautiful. It would be a perfect gift and a precious piece for a collector.

The miniature edition of The Bhagavad Gita by Vedic Cosmos is truly a fine specimen of India's rich cultural and spiritual heritage in your pocket. The colorful design and art work are breathtakingly beautiful. The quality of print and binding are top notch. The pages contain the Sanskrit text, followed by a simple and straightforward English translation and some helpful notes only where needed. It is said that the text has been edited by Sri Vidyabhaskar and Winterthur, Switzerland, to keep a non-sectarian viewpoint and keep the translation neutral, but relying on the traditional commentaries. I find this aspect appealing so that we are not drawn towards prejudiced commentaries that falsely claim to be as-it-is. The drawing and painting style inside the pages and on the outer covers is inspired by the Ajanta frescoes, Vijayanagara, Mysore and Bengal styles. This book is going to remain in my pocket, nay my heart, for a very very long time.

Had seen the larger version of Shrimad Bhagwadgita at our college library and liked it a lot .... just a thought sprouted in the mind that how good it will be if I could get a miniature Bhagwatgita of the same texture and as if a dream coming true i could find the same on Amazon literally accidentally ... though i have a couple of small versions of Shrimad Bhagwatgita with me this one is far improved version ... not only a fascinating colour and size and a thing to possess to impress others but the translations of the verses are really very easy and appropriately articulated. God is great and compliments to all those who have designed the book and invested in this eternal prasadam of ... Shri Krishna .

It’s a lovely edition-small though. One star less because the wooden box it comes in, was crudely damaged on one side - for the price, it is unacceptable to have a damaged product.

Love everything about it. Even the translation is close to the copy I have which is translated and commented by an actual swami. Beautiful textured paper, illustrations, gilded pages, metal corners. Magnetic box. Box itself is an art piece

This book is so beautifully crafted. Reading it is a pleasure. I depply enjoyed the explanation and context of the Bhagvad Gita at the start of the book and the little explanations scattered throughout the book giving context to the shloks. It size is great for travelling and fitting it into a purse or bag and the illustrations are to die for. A Great buy 100%.
