These don't ship as fast as they used to , even with Prime. I shop all around to get the fastest shipping....never very fast. But the birds like it, so........I try to get this because it has variety for my different kinds of birds, and they do all love it. All the birds are healthy. I also add other treats that are fresh, but this is their basic diet for years and years. I make sure to examine it closely , just to be sure there aren't any surprises, but its always good and seems fresh. One tip- I put my bridseed in the freezer for SEVERAL DAYS before pouring it ito the big jar I store it in. This reduces, and usually stops the production of moths. Birdseed comes with some moth eggs. (I've never found a birdseed that doesn't.) You can't see them. The longer you keep it the more moths hatch, but freezing kills the eggs. It works. I keep a lot of wool yarn. The moths will eat every bit of expensive yarn I have if I don't keep winning the battle.

I have three birds that eat these seeds and I used to get it from one of the local pet stores. It is the same price, if not cheaper in Amazon.

Our cockatiels love this food!! It always smells so fresh and so good that I wish I could eat it too lol!! This mix keeps them looking so healthy, they’re so excited for their bowls to be filled with it and they tear right into it. Only thing I wish is that they would like the fruit pieces a little more. I wish there were more vegetables in there too. I’m always surprised when I see a pistachio and my bird is trying to munch on it. He pretty much loves it all and tries to eat everything. He has a hard time with the really hard red pieces of colored pellet like food that is scattered in there and usually throws it out, but he loves the majority of it. The female is a bit more finicky and doesn’t care too much for many of the fruit pieces but will try a few of them so there’s a little more wasted with her. Overall, this is a very high quality mix and our birds love it every time and are very healthy while on it. I do give them fresh vegetables and other varieties of things to eat but this is their main staple at the moment. I highly recommend it! It is pricey but worth it to me for my birds. It’s funny that we’re rating this on flavor!! Lol! I’m assuming that the flavors are great because my birds just love it!!! But I haven’t tasted it myself. Just so you know ;)

My 15 year old conure LOVES this food. if I mix anything in, he throws a fit. If it's any other food, he throws a fit. He has been on this for 13 years (I adopted him from a horror show) and besides the little bit of fresh fruit I give him - cut up to his spoiled expectations, his plumage is gorgeous. His wings are very strong, and it doesn't make him irregular. The price is always fluttering by pennies so no big deal and is better & fresher you can buy in the stores. The dates are excellent, come wrapped tight and not one little extra friend in the package! Also, my beloved cockatiels ate the same when they came from homes that they were eating colored low-end garbage. This food soothes the savage bird! That make me a little happy too!

Good product, but only 3 lbs in a 5 lb bag. Photo is of an unopened bag. Bag lists only 3 lbs, but wasteful packaging probably to hide price per lb increase.

I have been buying this for 4 years now and it never disappoints. My birds love it and very little waste. The way I use it is as a supplement to a much higher cost pellet; which is amazing for them. However, when I feed just the high priced stuff they either kick it around or waste quite a bit. So, I decided to stick with this to make sure they are eating adequately and happy. The vet has noticed no difference in their health or feathering - still beautiful and loud babies. For the record, I have a sun conure, pineapple green cheek conures, and lovebirds. All doing great and loving it.
