I was lucky to find one of these on Amazon Warehouse for a reduced price, and to be honest I only bought it because it was a "bargain". However, I'm actually in love with this BBQ now. I already have a Weber 57, a Pro Q smoker, a Pizza oven, and a large gas BBQ, so I really didn't need anything else, but this is just FAB!My husband and I use it when we simply can't be bothered to prepare a full blown BBQ (i.e. Baby Back Ribs, Brisket, Pork Belly, etc. - stuff you do on the "proper" BBQ's), so we tend to just use it for quick homemade burgers, spicy kebabs, sausages.The beauty of this is that it's so quick and easy. Take it out of the bag, poor in a little bioethanol oil (not an expensive brand), tip in a mug size of charcoal (very economical), turn on the fan and we're off !!!! Plus another great aspect is that you can place the BBQ on the table in front of you, or on a coffee table in the garden, and just watch whilst it cooks. Turn the food occasionally and 10 mins later it's ready.It's also a great bit of kit to take to the beach, or on a picnic, or for your caravan/motorhome.And finally - the cooking grate can go into the dishwasher, so clean-up is so easy.So yes, it is expensive, and with hindsight would I have bought it at full price - ABSOLUTELY YES.

Really good piece of kit, so fast and easy to start either with gel or just pieces of paper. You can be cooking easily within 5 minutes of lighting, if not less. Portability and cool touch during cooking is also great as you can move the whole unit if needs be. Not too tough to clean either.

The grill was larger than I imagined and looks good. The grill looks less like a charcoal grill and reminds me more of a kitchen appliance. The manufacturer states that you can use the grill inside, but I wouldn’t recommend it as it gives off a lot of sparks right after lighting it. Contrary to my expectations, there really was very little smoke. The instruction manual wasn’t the best, but the use of the grill is basically self-explanatory. The fuel gel (or paste) is spread into the lower of the two containers (this will later heat the charcoal in the container above it and allow it to smoulder.) The “ring” (and I don’t mean the grate) comes on top of that construction and is filled with water. The water is supposed to catch the ashes and that works pretty well. Surprisingly, the ventilator, powered either by 4 AA batteries or micro-USB, really does set the coals aglow within seconds. The ventilator can be adjusted using a knob on the front. The package includes both a coated convex grill dish and a round grate. I tried both the coated dish and the grate. In my opinion, the dish is more for vegetables or steaks, whereas the grate is good for sausages. Under certain circumstances, the grill may be ready to use in under 3 minutes, but I needed at least twice as long (though the charcoal did start glowing really fast.) The grilling surface is quite sufficient for such a compact grill, though it’s a bit of a problem when you have a lot of guests. I’m really excited about how mobile the grill is. It comes with a sturdy bag in which you can transport the whole grill (and a little charcoal and fuel paste inside as well.) The grill is also very easy to clean, as all of the pans are easy to remove. Unlike most other grills, you can pick up the “housing” right after grilling since it doesn’t get hot. Only the pans inside the grill get hot, but they are easy to remove using the “pole” that came with it. You shouldn’t pour water over the grill since the wiring for the ventilator is inside. In conclusion, I can say that this grill delivers what it promises. The only thing missing was that barbecue feeling - probably because of the electric fan. I’m giving this grill 4 stars, because (contrary to what the manufacturer says) I don’t think you should use it inside a house, but otherwise it worked just as it should.
