Reasonable quality for price
I have only just tried these pinking shears out. On initial inspection, they seem relatively sturdy and easy to use. They are not "too tight" as reported for other brands (i.e., difficult to open and close). Not too heavy. They cut felt cleanly EXCEPT for the last 1/2 inch of the cutting blade which is about 3 inches long. I have not tried them on any other material. I cannot say how long they will stay sharp.

Thrilled with this purchase!
I ignored the negative reviews and chose to pay attention to the positive reviews. I am so glad I did! I needed a pair of pinking shears that could be used on multiple fabrics. These fit the bill! As soon as I got them I tried cutting through an old t-shirt, a vintage upholstery fabric, denim and a light weight cotton weave. All cut cleanly with no force needed. I saw where some reviewers had problems with the cutting edge not being consistent. I did not have this problem. The only drawback that I found was that they are a pretty big pair of scissors and I can just barely open them all the way to use the full cutting edge. This is more an issue with my hand size, than the quality of the scissors though. I would highly recommend these pinking shears to anyone, especially those looking for an inexpensive high quality pair!**Update: I thought I'd add some pics. I cut through straps I made, so it ened up being 4 layers of heavy-ish cotton. The pics of the scissors are to show how much of the blade is unused and how far I can comfortably open and use them...All just as a point of reference.

Work well, great for the price!
I almost didn't buy these after I read the one-star review, but I really needed a pair and didn't want to spend a ton of money. (I can't understand why pinking shears are so expensive!). I am really glad I gave these a try. I don't know if the other reviewer got a defective pair or if the design was changed, but these are plenty sharp and I haven't had any issues with fabric tearing. I also don't consider these lightweight - these are thick, solid and hefty enough to get the job done without my killing my hands. Other pairs I've used required a great deal of hand strength to cut, these are almost as easy to use as regular scissors. I've used them on thick upholstery-weight velvet fabric, regular cotton fabric and lightweight satin - all with equally excellent results. The only two (very) minor issues I've found: I am unable to open these fully, but for someone with larger hands or longer fingers, this may not be an issue. Also, there is no padding to the handles, so a lot of cutting can cause minor fatigue, but nothing bad. Not worth deducting a star - especially for the price. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would gladly buy these again. Great deal!

Not for Lefties!
I was very excited when I thought I had found cheaper, left-handed friendly pinking shears, but the pictures are sadly deceiving. They work really well, but if you are left-handed, do not buy! They will dig horribly into your thumb. I've padded my handles with fabric, but it only helped a little because the contour is so steep.

stating the quality of the shears to be of excellent quality and that they were happy with their purchase
I was reluctant to buy this at first because I thought a bargain price meant an inferior quality. I read through some of the reviews and saw that most verified purchases left positive reviews, stating the quality of the shears to be of excellent quality and that they were happy with their purchase. I had a craft project on hold for lack of a pair of shears so I went ahead and ordered it, got here quickly (Thank you Prime) and I put them to use immediately. I must say, I am quite impressed with this product! It cuts so well, my project turned out quite nicely! My only issue is the fact that my hands are tiny and it took a while for me to cut the cloth I was using. I had to make shorter cuts to make up for that but that is an issue with my genetic makeup and nothing to do with the scissors. Darn genes...*sigh*.

Not sharp
Only the quarter near the nose of these shears cuts. Really inconvienant. Waited to long to use these so the return window is closed.Finding decent pinking shears is difficult. Even big brand names don't get it right all the time.

Exactly as advertised
I sew a lot of historical garments (late 19th century to mid 20th century), and having this little tool when I'm cutting out fabric is so convenient! My wools and cottons (even linens!) definitely do not fray as much, and buy me so much time until I'm ready to finish off the edges. Well worth it!In picture: Very lightweight white cotton, lightweight blue wool, mediumweight orange linen.

won't cut multiple layers (two) of fabric
Nothing special here. Barely cuts one layer of fabric. Oh for days scissors would cut like they're supposed to.

Stiff and doesnt cut
Terrible! Its stiff so very hard to open and close. I have red Mark's on my hands fighting to open and close the scissors. All that extra effort and it doesnt cut properly. Need a couple of snips and even that messes up the cut.Absolutely terrible!

Not great.
These are ok. Not as great as many of the reviews indicate. I don't find them sharp at all. If I had used them sooner I would have returned them. Very large and heavy.
