I bought 2 sets of these, never have had silicone before. baked a small pizza . It browned fine, but had a really plastic like taste. any hints?

I have experienced that any silicone that comes out of the dishwasher tastes like the dishwashing detergent smells so I prefer to handwash mine.

One person said that the size stated was not accurate. Could someone please provide the true measurements for quarter sheet size?
