Another compelling and powerful CA novel
A well written, well researched, deeply moving albeit disturbing, fast paced story. I am never disappointed with this author as he brings us another authentic thriller incorporating human social responsibility vs greed and power.

A Journey into Little-known Territory
A thought-provoking topic which everyone should be aware of and strive to eradicate the unnecessary suffering that is brought upon innocent children.

Garden of Burning Sand
The Garden Of Burning Sand After reading Corban Addison's first book 'A Walk Across the Sun' I was excited to get 'The Garden of Burning Sand' in the mail a few weeks ago. I was not disappointed when several sick days from work meant I had time to read, without interruption. Based on the lives, of those I know personally, who have lived in parts of Africa, including Zambia and the Congo, this book rings true. Corban Addison's heart for social justice and the abolition of modern slavery contribute to a compelling and enlightening story. As a work of fiction, The Garden of Burning Sand relates the grim reality of Africa and infuses hope for the future by allowing the reader a glimpse into the quest for justice. I found myself angry at the injustices and corruption, appalled at the impunity, cheering at the victories and at times moved to tears by the very human struggles of the characters. Corban doesn't stop with merely illuminating the problem but also opens doors to the organizations and people who are working hard at the solutions. As this story informs readers, encourages dialogue and compels to action it will accomplish the purpose for which it was written. Highly recommended! Great for a book club.If you enjoyed 'A Walk Across the Sun' you'll want to read 'The Garden of Burning Sand'! The Garden Of Burning Sand

Beautifully written, a captivating read. Highly recommended!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and could not put it down.It was well researched, and being a lover of all things African I felt Mr Addison's love of Africa pouring off the pages.Mr Addison seems to have a knack of taking difficult topics and infusing them with his compassion, a good story line and fabulous characters, while still shining the light of awareness of the hardships people go through.I look forward to reading more of his books.
