Edens Garden Vanilla- Oleoresin Essential Oil- 100% Pure 10 ml (.33 fl oz)

So just a heads up this vanilla is an oleoresin which isn’t quite the same as an essential oil. I wasn’t quite aware of that when it came so I was worried it had gone bad when I opened it and there was brown goop on the top. The smell was slightly off too. But I mixed it with a little coconut oil and it smells just divine. So for anyone using this for soaps or what not this is brown like the extract and goopy. So may not mix well for all purposes. But for mine which is to make a natural oil based perfume works great.

I had been using different facial moisturizers for dry skin over the last several years and noticed that they were all irritating my skin even though several were quite expensive. After doing some research, I decided to make my own skin care products and have been very satisfied with the results. No more redness or irritation, my skin feels very soft, and it's important to me that there are no harmful ingredients in the cream, just natural products. I've saved alot of money making my own products and it's fun! Following is a recipe for dry skin; it's easy to make and smells wonderful! Mix one tablespoon coconut oil, 2 1/2 tablespoons cocoa butter, and 1/2 tablespoon vegetable glycerin. Add 2-3 drops vanilla essential oil and mix together. Let rest for a few minutes, mix again and place in a jar. I was very pleased with the oils I ordered from Edens Garden - they were reasonably priced and were shipped quickly. The vanilla oil has a very rich fragrance, and I will certainly order from their company again. They also included an informative booklet on different ways to use their essential oils.

I got this to use in my own beauty concoctions since other review said they used this product and it worked for them. I was a bit put off at first because it is very dark colored and smelled a bit acrid at first but after it had a second to "air out" for lack of a better term, it smells quite nice. It does not smell like other essential oils I have smelled before, its pretty much exactly like cooking vanilla which I don't think is a bad thing. The price is more than reasonable since a bottle of the same size at my local natural grocers was $27! Be careful this will stain your skin and probably your clothes (I didn't test it) but it washes off (of skin) with some scrubbing. The scent, which I tested by dabbing on my wrist,does last a very long time without losing potency. Its very nice,strong enough without being over powering. I keep getting pleasant whiffs of it whenever I move my hand. As far as the company Edens Garden, I cant praise them highly enough! This is my first purchase from them but I am already planning to buy all kinds of stuff from them. They shipped my order within 4 hours of me ordering it! Got here very quickly. Product was intact and well sealed. They included this great catalog/pamphlet with all kinds of very useful info about their products. I only took a star off because it is dark colored and doesn't have the stronger more perfume vanilla smell that other oils I have smelled had. You probably could just buy vanilla from Safeway and get the same effect. Even so I would definitely recommend this product because of the price and the company.

Although I have bought a lot of oils from this company before, I was tentative when purchasing this because I know that there is no real vanilla essential oil, but I read a lot of favorable reviews with some great tips, so I gave it a shot and I am so glad that I did. So far I have used it to make an air freshener for the car (which smells amazing) and to add a little scent to homemade aloe deodorant. It's absolutely perfect for both. I love the way it smells and cannot wait to find more uses for it. My experience so far is that a little goes a long way, so I think the value for the price is excellent.

I’ve been using an essential oils for over 30 years, but I must admit I’ve never purchased vanilla. I am very disappointed. I can barely smell the vanilla over the alcohol smell. It also leaves a chunky residue on the top of the bottle . It smells just like vanilla extract. My purpose was to make perfume. It just doesn’t seem to mix well with the other sense. I just don’t smell the vanilla. When I’m looking in my bottle, the vanilla drops just float around in there like a lava . I don’t know if that’s normal or if I got ripped off, but never again will I purchase vanilla essential oil unless I am able to smell it first.

I ordered this product for my business. I never use artificial fragrances only essential oils, some oils however can not be distilled like essential oils but have to be extracted. Jasmine petals for example, are too delicate for distilling. I saw a negative review where the customer was asking for the ingredients. I'm not sure how the customer asked the question but I can tell you I emailed the company. Told them what I know and listed the ingredient used with other extractions. Told them I only wanted to know if I was right to include it as a possibility for ingredients. Sure enough, they immediately responded and I was right. I have asked them a few other questions and they immediately responded. Amazing customer service. Amazing smell of the oil and when I mixed proper amount of drops with jojoba oil. Wow. Smells gorgeous. I'm excited to use this in my products and will buy from them again.

Vanilla is my favourite scent when it comes to essential oils, perfumes, beauty products air freshners - Basically everything - So I was very disappointed when I used this in my essential oil diffuser and could barely smell anything - This has happened every time I.ve tried diffusing just this oil alone - There is basically no scent so I do not recommend.

This smells like baking. Whenever I diffuse it, I always get asked what I'm making followed by it smells SO good. I love the smell but do think it's a bit pricey.
