They work
27SEP2022: Had these since 2014. Tossed a few in my backpacks and trunks of my cars. They open cans and haven’t rusted or deformed in any way. Edge is still sharp enough to open cans no problem.

THE REAL DEAL!
What is a P-38/P-51?It is a small piece of steel with a hooked blade that flips outward. That's it. But it's more than that. It's a can opener. These can openers are Small, Simple, Reliable, and Amazing. I have used one of these (the P-51) for many years. You may think "what if i lose these?". If you keep them close, and have a specific spot to keep them, you won't. Outdoors is a little more difficult. However, these are well worth it. Besides, even if you lose these amazing little things, you can always buy some more. I had mine since i was a boy scout. I still keep it on my key ring wherever i go. Its been battered. Its been abused. It's been misused. Its older than me, rusty as heck, and looks discolored from when i accidentally burned it (long story involving bug spray, a lighter, and some Cheetos). HOWEVER, despite all this, it STILL serves it's purpose with flying colors. Its a can opener. It opens cans. It is built like a tank, and it will always be by my side on all my outdoor adventures. Also, These are LEGIT. These are NOT Chinese knockoffs. These are NOT cheap and flimsy. It's a real Shelby Co. P-38/P-51A word of Warning, however: I ordered this expecting 20 pieces. a set of 10 P-38 and a set of 10 P-51. I only got the 10 P-51 can openers. I had only purchased this product for just the p-51's anyways. so I'm content. but i want my money's worth and i have not gotten the p-38's. I think it might be a single isolated mistake on the seller's part, and I'm too cheap and lazy to return it (why would i return the only thing from the purchase that i wanted?!). But still, it is just annoying. I'm still content with the seller. I have bought their stuff in the past, and I've never had issues like this before. They are amazing! But i got what i wanted. just not what i paid for. Hence the 4 stars. The product is definitely worth 5 stars on its own. And i would LOVE for you to try em out.

Easy to use. Works efficiently. Will stand the test of time and usage!
These are the best can openers ever created. They are small, easy to use, durable, and they do what they are supposed to do; open the freakin’ can! The P38 and P51 are the best kept secret when it comes to can openers. Why is this, you ask? Because! In this day and age where, “everything is made to break,” these little guys will stand the test of use and time! If it comes to survival and you need to open a can of food, these will do it! Bought a $20 electric can opener from the store and guess what? The piece of crap slowly became more and more difficult to use and eventually stopped working all together. Garbage. Keep in mind that it requires electricity to use. Bought a different can opener from the store, one with that requires one hand to hold the device with one hand, while turning a crank with the other hand, and guess what? It became increasingly difficult to use and eventually stopped working as well. So, where can I find a quality item that will do the job, last a really long time, and I can take it anywhere? The P38 and P51. Opens any can quickly and with ease. I almost want to give them away to people to make their lives better because these can openers make my life better and make me happy.

Worth it.
I bought these when I lost my old one. I've had the same P38 with me forever and it's still going strong. (I found it on the ground one random day) I use it everyday I go to work for lunch, sometimes twice and after a year it's shown no wear so these are the real deal. It's still a bright silver and not a dull grey color, no rusting issues (but then I have it with my keys and not in a humid container). I've given away half of what I bought from curious co-workers, most of which were fellow veterans who haven't seen one in years. Damn. I might buy another batch and keep giving them out. I don't see the one I am using going out anytime soon. It's been a year. My old one lasted almost 7 before I lost it. Not heavy but consistent almost daily use. If you're keeping all of them to yourself and you don't lose any, this purchase should last you the rest of your life.

Good deal.
No can in my home will be safe with this huge lot of can openers. I put one on each key ring, each bug out bag has two and I have some left over to keep in my vehicles or gift to other preppers or people who desire to have a means to open a can.

A can opener that always works...
My husband and I ordered the 20 pack of these can openers because they were so inexpensive. They arrived in just a few days and the order was supplied as requested - all were included in the package and they work just as we remembered. We have used multiple national brand can openers, both electric and manual, with all of them failing after less than a year. Every one of the failed openers contained plastic parts that just quit working. We resorted to these military-supplied openers that we were familiar with when our fathers used in the military, and were included in MREs. We have sent sets of the large and small openers to family members that had also had problems with well-known openers. It will not be long before more are ordered to gift to friends and backpackers, who have all expressed interest in our tiny openers. Now if I could just order a longer handle for mine....

Convenien simplicity.
Great can openers to keep in my car. Take up no room, keep one on the key chain with the keys for the locks I use for dog trapping. Some of the canned food I use as bait does not hap pull tabs to open, that's when these can openers come in handy. Saves room in utility bag, making room for more important supplies. It's not as convenient as a large model you'd keep in a kitchen drawer unless you're really tight on space. But as an emergency, backup or camping/survival type tool, I highly recommend having a few of these to have on hand.
