Good for little kids
This has been a great addition to our biking family. It has been very sturdy and comfortable for the back of our bike. The installation took a little longer than expected and wasn’t super clear. So, just make sure to take your time installing it. We use it on an old trek mountain bike which could be the problem. But once on it’s great!

Great product.
Did not have a hard time assembling it. It took me around 30 minutes by myself. I feel like there was a missing screw to it. But I had some extras at some and I ended up using it. Overall it's sturdy, my 7 month old baby fits in well. (Even though it's not advertised for under 1 year old)

I really like Bell products and hope they make small improvements
The problem I find is a 45 min install takes close to 90 min when you have to figure things out. I would suggest looking at this and reduce the 25 steps to 10-15. Install the U bracket and spacer to the max distance in almost all cases this will make it easier to mount on the seat post bracket. You can use the existing bolt as long long as it tightens very well and won't come undone. I would leave the bolt loose making sure to go back and tighten with socket or adjustable cresent wrench as pliars are tough to even hold one side. Vice grips may help. The V shaped brackets that go on either wheel post have the V pointing inward to wheel. Don't put on other piece until mounting and add the vinyl clear tubes to keep grip and protect paint. Mount it as high as you can keep seat near level to avoid chain contact. The V shape will deform, but tighten well as this will cause problems if ot slides down which is why it lost a star, those paint protectors might allow it to slide and aren't well documented. Finish tightening everything pushing up down and forward and back as seat should take at very least 40lbs without moving. The bolt covers were good on side hopefully to allow easy rust free removal, but not on U bracket as this bolt had sharp edges and cut me on checking. I then used the cheap grey cover to protect feet from bracket and wheel. This part certainly could be improved. If you do this and avoid needing a screwdriver to move straps around as you accidently inserted wrong end, this should save you more than 30 minutes over the instructions path. I would suggest they change lap bar to be further back from the seat and 2 inches longer U bracket with two bolts to help many people I saw had to modify. I'm very happy with Bell products and as easy as the middle/front mount version took installing the mount on the backside of the middle post to fit her safely behind the handle bars of a small 26" bike. That one looks easy but takes a lot longer than it should. This one was easier because it fit better on this same beach cruiser.

Basic Seat for Limited Bikes
The seat would not fit on my Cannondale F300 ([...] There are three main issues: 1. The seat stays (diagonal frame members from axle to base of seat) are too thick for the clamps to go around. 2. Even if the seat stays were thinner, the rear derailleur cable runs down the right side seat stay and the clamps would interfere with it. 3. To mount to the seat tube, I would have had to remove my quick release seat bolt and replace it with the included bolt. However, the bolt included was too thick to fit in the seat clamp and the quick release did not have enough extra length to attach this seat. With all this said, I ended up installing it on my wife's bike, a vintage Schwinn women's frame bike. It fits fine on this bike with no issues. The bike has thin seat stays, a seat post clamp with a large enough hole and no derailleur or other cabling to get in the way. The foot guards are very cheaply made and the attachment ties included are worthless. I ended up attaching the guard with zip ties. Altogether, an inexpensive seat that will suffice on older bikes. For my bike, I ended up ordering the CoPilot Taxi CoPilot Taxi Bicycle Child Seat , which mounts to the built in rack mounts on my frame.

Fun Way for small kids to Biking Adventure
I recently started using the Bell COCOON 300 Child Bicycle Carrier, and it has quickly become a favorite in our family, especially during the fall season. First off, the sturdiness of this carrier is impressive. It feels incredibly well-built, providing peace of mind knowing that my child is secure while we ride. The installation was straightforward, and it fits seamlessly on my bike. The adjustable straps and harness ensure a snug and safe fit for my little one, which is always a top priority. What really stands out is how much my kids love it! They enjoy the view and the feeling of being part of the adventure as we cruise through the colorful fall foliage. The padded seat adds extra comfort for longer rides, and the added safety features make every outing enjoyable for both of us. Overall, it’s a sturdy, reliable, and fun way to include my child in our biking adventure, and I highly recommend this carrier for any family looking to enjoy the outdoors together.

TERRIBLE! I would have been sitting on my child.
This was a terrible purchase. The plastic of the seat is so cheaply made, I would not feel safe leaving my child in it. It was flimsy, and felt like paper. Though I suppose that makes it light weight for riding ease, I was not comfortable with it. Needless to say, I still attempted and took it to a Bike Shop for installation. Even the bike mechanics thought this was a terrible product (and NO they did NOT try to sell me a different one - they just told me to get rid of this one altogether). Let me start by saying what the biggest problem is. The seat has no extending hardware, which means it only reaches as far as the small connector piece can reach. The picture sort of shows this, but not nearly to the extent it actually sits. This child seat was right up against the back of my seat. I ride a beach cruiser, and after lots of online research, found this to be a beach cruiser compatible child seat. WRONG! This chair was up against my chair, and the child handlebar was actually sitting ON my bike seat. If I tried to sit down, I sat on the child handlebar. That isn't even the worst of it. My child, who is 2 years old and 25 lbs, could not even comfortably get into the chair. We had to take some serious time to get him into it, because my bike seat was completely in his way. When he was finally sitting in it, his little legs were almost doing splits to fit around my adult seat. AND they did not even get around the seat entirely. So had I got on my bike, I would have been sitting on the handlebar AND my son's legs. And he is a little guy. I realize most of these chairs are close to the adult seat, but this was ridiculous. Also, many other chair types come with an extending piece of hardware that place the chair further back. Though I am not nearly the size of this woman in the photo, this is what I envisioned for my poor child if I actually used this product: [...] (see the link or google "fat lady child carrier"). And take a close look, that seat in the photo IS the Bell Classic Child Carrier. I wish I had seen this photo before I bought it. Then there is another safety issue. The wheel guard is terrible. It is a flimsy, cheap piece of plastic, which looks much like a piece of paper, and it basically attaches with twist ties over the tire. This is to keep the child's feet from getting stuck in the wheel, so it is very important to be safe and sturdy, which this IS NOT. I am so disappointed in this seat and have already issued a request to return it.

Simple and Secure!
Love, love, love this bike carrier seat. It's simple to install, doesn't weigh down when I'm riding, and they feel secure in it! I like the lap guard and how it cradles them in. I got this for my daughter when she was one, and she still fits comfortably in it two years later. I am about to buy a second one for my son so my husband can take him on rides with us too.

Best option!
We tried a few different models before and nothing would work! This one is strong, comfortable, well fixed on the bike, my baby feel really safe in it! Best option in the market for sure!

Great carrier
Depending on the model of your bike, this might be one of the few baby chairs that fit. That's my case. I was so happy when I finally found this chair! My one-year-old is very comfortable in it. The straps can be regulated.
