The Boy Who Cried Wolf

Awesome illustration!
I liked that this didn't follow the cookie cutter storyline of the Boy Who Cried Wolf, but added some extra dialogue and detail. The illustrations were awesome--so detailed and so unique. I bought it to backup some lessons on lying for my kindergartener, and it brought home what I couldn't. Appreciate it all around!

Naughty yet nice!
A big hit with my 3 & 5 year old grandchildren! I was asked to read this repeatedly throughout our weekend...and be prepared to stop and stare at the picture where the boy has his finger up his nose! Kids loooooved to tell me various things about this one, lol. Comments ranged from, "That's not nice!" to the ever popular, "Ewwwwwww!"... complemented by delighted giggles.

The illustrations are great! It took a little explaining to my daughter after we read it though so she would understand the moral of the story. Overall, I like it though. It made my daughter laugh and I think after I explained it to her in a more detailed way she understood.

Excellent for young children
I read it to a 1st-grade class, and they found it immensely entertaining. The illustrations are very clever. The moral of the story comes across with a happy ending.

Love it
I got this book for my Grandson since he is at the age that lieing seems to be a problem. I try to read this to him quite offen so he will understand the importance of telling the truth. He is geeting much better.

Not the real story
This is not the real story, you know, the one where there are some actual consequences for his lies. In this, the shephard just runs away to the town and when he comes back the sheep are hiding in a F'n tree, and everything turns out fine. The illustrations are great; still, look elsewhere to teach your kids about the often harsh realities of life.

A teaching book!

Great book!
I bought this so I could read it to my two boys, who tend to fib sometimes. After reading this, they seem to understand that fibbing has consequences and its not nice to lie.I love the artwork as well!

Somewhat longwinded, but our daughter likes it
Our daughter has started lying so I thought that the "boy who cried wolf" would be a good place to start. The artwork in this book is ok, but the writing is a little bit strange. That being said, our daughter likes it.
