OXO Good Grips 3-Inch Mini Strainer, Multicolor, Black

I use this tea leaf strainer by Oxo Good Grips every day and fits the bill. I also usethis strainer for other purposes as it is easy to clean and dish washer save. Gooddesign and construction should last indefinitely. Overall a good device to purchaseeven though there are other units available at a lesser price.

This is a well-designed, sturdy product that is useful precisely because it is small. Others have pointed out its usefulness in straining tea leaves or powdered sugar or cocoa. I find it handy for many things, but I grab it most frequently for catching the seeds when juicing a lemon. I've never really found it necessary to use a reamer--I mean, it takes so little effort to just cut a lemon in half and squeeze it by hand--but this way you don't have to improvise by using a fork as a strainer, try to dig the seeds out with a knife before juicing the lemon, or fish seeds out of your food when these strategies inevitably fail. All of a sudden I find myself making a citron pressé at the drop of a hat like I'm living the good life at some fancy-pants Paris cafe. It's nice that a device that works well for this random purpose is also useful for so many other little tasks, instead of sitting in a drawer waiting to be used for its one specialty job. Like most OXO products, this strainer is thoughtfully designed, well made, and easy to use.

Overall this is a nice strainer but the screen is a bit thin and can get crushed if you aren’t careful about putting it away after use. That being said, I would still recommend it.

Great for small jobs where a larger sieve is not needed. It also fits on the top of a mug easily

Excellent, sturdy strainer that is easy to rinse out! One of my essential day-to-day items!I got this mini-strainer to strain herbs from loose-leaf tea/herbs. I make tea in large batches, so I use about 1/4 cup of herbs at a time, and that seems to be almost exactly the amount that this holds! Also the strainer fits perfectly into the top of a mason jar, especially the wide-mouth ones, without space on the sides but also without having to be held in place. Perfect!Anyway I included those details in case anyone else is looking for similar purposes, but of course it would work for straining other things :) It's a nice fine mesh as described - I never have any herbs get through into my tea unless they're basically powder-sized pieces. 2 thumbs up!

Good sturdy strainer. I use it for tea, as it's the perfect size to go over a mug. It's a bit tricky to clean around the rim, but less so than other strainers I've used. $14 was more than I wanted to pay for such a small item, but I've had it four years now and use it nearly every day.

Good quality nice to use

It's a perfect size - fits nicely over a mug for straining masala chai and has a sturdy handle. Exactly what I was looking for.
