Kids Fishing Pole,Telescopic Fishing Rod and Reel Combos with Spincast Fishing Reel and String with Fishing Line

This is a perfect starter rod and reel for my 5 year old grandson. Easy to set up. I love the little tackle box and the carrying case. I can't wait for the little fellow to use it.

This review is based on an initial "out of the box" review. I have not tested this particular model in the field yet.Not sure if my headline gave it away, but here is my assessment:Value per dollar- at $31 subtotal, surprisingly, you actually get quite a bit!- you receive a rod, spinning reel and pocket sized container PACKED with enough stuff make weekend travelling on the bank hunting for pansized fish or trout- you'll notice that your pocket tackle box will filled with:* bobbers* plastic grubs* swivel snaps* bullet weights (for some texas rigs)* bobber stops* and even a jerkbait!the value of this alone should be anywhere from $12-15Compact Set up- fully extended, the rod is 72 inches (6 foot) but in travel mode, the rod compacts into a mere 16 inches- found this perfect to store inside a backpack, corner of a trunk or even inside a heavy jacket if you are planning on hitting the small streams for some trout fishing.Kids or Ultra Lite setup ?- I can consider this as both- aesthetically, the color of this combo gives it a youth look however, if you actually look at the set up you can see this this can be viewed as a competent ultralight.- the reel handles anywhere from 2-6LBS test and made of metal and plastic (mostly)- one thing that i really like are the thick guides on the rod. normally you wold find super thin (wire like) guides on comparable rods which in my opinion are prone to bending and other damage, feels really sturdyIf I had to say anything about suggesting improvements would be:1. Would be nice if the reel was made with more metals, would give a higher quality appeal and Plussino could be justified in raising the price because it already has great value2. when extending the rod to fishing mode, it would be nice if there was a clicking mechanism to signify that the rod is fully extended between guides. Currently, you just have to pull to where you can pull anymore. The friction of the pull is what keeps the guide in place. My concern here is that there could be possibilities that you pull too hard, casting too hard over time without collapsing the rod leaving the rod in extended fishing mode. This is a suggested design improvement for ALL rods that are telescopic and not limited to this manufacturer.Overall:- Solid value for $31- perfect for youth and those looking for an ultrlight set up- comes packed with goodies and the pocket sized tackle box is already worth about half of this entire cost.Good luck out there!

A disclaimer: I haven't been fishing in 25 years and haven't bought a fishing pole before. That being said, my 11 year-old wants to go fishing so I took the plunge. This rod appears to be pretty sturdy. Very light-weight and collapses to about 18 inches. There is a decent selection of hooks, leads, weights and other tackle with it.However, I have a couple issues with it. There were no instructions on how to attach the reel or thread the line. I figured out the reel, but am waiting on threading the line until we are ready to go fishing. As a non-fisherman, I don't know what to do with all the tackle - how to tie them on and where? what kind of fish do they catch? There is no locking system to keep the pole fully extended, but I think if you pull them tight enough they will stay extended. The bag the rod came in is too small to put it back in with the reel still attached, which to me would be a hassle if I had to take it off every time I was done with it.All-in-all, I think this will be a good starter rod for my son when he goes fishing with his uncle or grandpa.

Yeah, I know, I'm one of those crazy cat ladies, always looking for a new way to entertain my feline. I'd read somewhere about someone doing this, so figured I'd see if I could find an inexpensive fishing rod to experiment with. The product had 2 obstacles to overcome: 1. I don't know how to use a fishing rod, and 2. I have a persnickety cat.I'm happy to say it's been great. I was able to get the knack of it within a day (Thank you, A River Runs Through It producers!) and my cat *Loves* the whirring noise it makes as the reel unwinds and rewinds. I've got several cat toys that are designed from fishing lure appliances, so they make an enticing little clatter sound that really gets and keeps his attention better than the standard cat teasers. I make sure to put it away when we're not using it, because my cat likes it so much he'll play with it on his own, which isn't ok - this is definitely a supervised toy. I like the included covers that lets me secure everything when I stash it, so the line doesn't get tangled up with anything.I kept all the swiveling parts that came with it to make my own cat teasers, along with the bobs and anchors for other projects. The worms and parts with hooks I gifted to a friend of mine who fishes and made his day.Thanks Plusinno! You've added quality to my cat's life and ease to mine!

The media could not be loaded.  The Plussino Kids Fishing Pole combo is a great, practical fishing solution for a reasonable price. You get everything you need in one small easy to carry package. Perfect for a first time out fishing or a veteran who wants something simple to have on hand, this Plussino combo has what you need.All that said, I do have a few nitpicky issues with it. For those not familiar with fishing or those looking to start out, there really aren't any instructions for how to setup or use any of the lures/swivels/weights contained inside. I personally would also liked to have seen some basic fish hooks for those of us that like to just keep it simple with a nightcrawler on a hook and a bobber.Like I said in the video, even if this isn't for your little one, it's not a bad fishing solution to just keep in the truck for when the opportunity strikes! I'll be updating this review in the spring when I get a chance to head out into the field and really put it through its paces. I'm looking forward to what Plussino has in store for the future and I'm curious to try out that Spinning Reel!

Amazing quality and perfect for kids! I was hesitant to purchase again as the previous rods came in the wrong colours. But the customer service was exceptional and quick! I haven't tried the rods out yet but we will once we go fishing. So far the quality is perfect. The only problem I had with the fishing lure box, was it came damaged. Other than that great product

I bought this for my seven-year-old granddaughter. It worked fine. I feel it will last a long time
