Great tool, must have for apprentices.
Great for removing rads without emptying and carrying outside without drips. I got a pair for myself a few years ago and have since bought 2 more packs for apprentices as a must have tool. Plastic threads so watch out for the odd 3/4” trying to cross thread, apart from that, don’t go mental on them and they will last. Highly recommend.

Very good product, just an important drawback
Very good and useful tool, used it on many occasions with no problemsOnly issue is that they are not metal and can cross thread easily and they don’t thread nicely onto older type 3/4” rad tails that are curved. Unfortunately I’ve had to bin mine as this style of rad tails cross threaded them. Still a very positive review overall as this lasted around 2 years+, Just need to be mindful of what type of rad tail you are threading on to.

Wonder why I didn't get a set earlier
A very useful addition to the tool cupboard. I had help my dad remove a radiator temporarily while they got some work done on a bit of damp. These made the job so much easier than it would have been before.Close off the lockshield valve, remove the TRV and use a decorators cap to close the valve. Bleed the excess pressure (and water) out via the bleed valve at the top of the rad. One side at a time with a tub underneath to catch any drips, disconnect the valve from the rad, pull the valve away from the rad just enough to slip this in place and attach it to the rad tail, repeat for the other side. Then the whole rad (including the water inside) can be moved outside and emptied into a drain, rinsed through with water, or even stored with the water in for now, etc. So much easier than emptying it one tub at a time and then stuffing a rag in each side so it doesn't drop as you carry it through the house. Belt and braces, we put a 1/2" bsp blanking cap on both of the valves so that if the valve wasn't 100% closed the few drops of water that got through wouldn't get out onto the floor. Not really needed, but for about £2 for the blanking caps, it wasn't going to break the bank, for another layer of protection.Only downside is that you have to carry the extra weight of the water (though in reality it's not actually that much extra weight on a normal Type 21 or 22 rad.Personally I think they are a bit overpriced for two bits of plastic that are this size, but they do the job well.

No more messy carpets/floors.
To coin a phrase “It does exactly what it says on the tin”.These are a life saver, especially if having to disconnect and/or remove said radiator any distance.Just need to make sure you don’t cross thread when using these, which is quite easy to do. So take your time and hand tight only or you will risk stripping the threads. For ‘belt and braces’ approach, you could always flip radiator upside down before moving any distance, as you’re less likely to knock these of your feet/stairs/furniture/etc. Oh and don’t forget to check end cap(s) are secure and bleed value(s) are closed before flipping or you will be flipping swearing at yourself for being a numpty. - Don’t ask how I know this.
