Full of advice and strategies on information marketing
The fully revised and updated second edition of "The Official Get Rich Guide To Information Marketing: Build a Million Dollar Business Within 12 Months" by Robert Skrob with an Introduction by Dan Kennedy is a book that is full of ideas and strategies to make money in the information business. Skrob is the president of the Information Marketing Association and has a tremendous wealth of knowledge in the field. He shares much of this knowledge in this book. There are 60 chapters in the book, so I will not go through each chapter one by one. However, the are organized well and each offer different strategies and tips. Many people won't implement every strategy contained in this book. I imagine, many people will be like I am, and just pick those areas that fit best with their goals, and information to market. However, it is nice to see what others are doing, and have a resource to possibly look into other areas as your business grows. So even if you don't like all of the book, or don't find all of the book applicable to your situation, I'm sure you'll find things and advice that will help you. Some of the topics Skrob addresses are: outlining your business, factors for business success, E-Books, identifying markets, determining what to charge, ways to launch an info-marketing business such as teleseminars, joint ventures, speaking, and so on. Again, there is a lot here and not all of it is for everyone, but I'm sure anyone in the information marketing business, or who wants to get into the information marketing business will find many useful bit of information in this guide. Will you easily build a million dollar business within 12 months? Not necessarily. While it has been done, I suspect many reading this book won't do it. However, I think following the advice in this book will help people make money. How much will depend on many variables, not just what's contained in this text. Skrob is motivating with this writing, and reading this book may motivate you to work harder on your business, which in turn will help you make more. Make no mistake about it though, you will work, and work hard, if you want to make the kind of money advertised in the book's title. This is one of the books that will go on my "To use" shelf, which are books that I will go back to off and on as I'm working on areas of my business to gain advice and suggestions from. I recommend it as a resource to anyone wanting to know more about the information marketing business and how to become involved and make money selling the information they already know.Reviewed by Alain Burrese, author of the "Tough Guy Wisdom" series.

Great Book... Albeit Completely Mistitled
This is an absolutely fantastic book on internet marketing. However, you should know that its not really about "information marketing" per se. In fact, there's only 10 pages (pages 233-243) that really discuss information products or information businesses at all. You won't learn anything about which products to create or how to create or price them. Again, the book is completely mistitled. On the other hand, if you want to learn more about internet marketing in general, this is an amazing book. Caveat emptor!

All Encompassing Guide to Information Marketing - A Must
I purchased this book from one of Amazon's emails and am happy that they knew what I needed. This has become my "go-to" book on information marketing. Robert Skrob has the background and authority for the book. His organization skills are at once evident from the table of contents. The readers is guided from section 1, preparing to succeed all the way to transitioning from a product launch to growing a sustainable business, section 7. In-between are sections on easy but effective ways to launch your product, getting others to help you, using surveys, making a big splash with a new event, and generating new customers. I read this kind of book with a yellow highlighter and there are highlights all through the pages. For someone wanting to start in the information marketing business with a new product, someone with an established product looking for a boost in sales, or the experienced information marketer wanting to know how marketing products has changed, this book has it all. As president of the Information Marketing Association, Skrob has written a winner. Buy this book and keep it close by. You'll use it to build your plan and then execute it - to success.

Do not confuse this book with Bob's more in-depth book
A quick overview, meant, it seems, to draw you in and give you a taste of information marketing. You'd probably do better reading his more in-depth book, "The Official Get-Rich Guide to Information Marketing on the Internet." The three extra words in the title--"On the Internet"--are the clue to which book is which.

The book I wish I had when I started
The media could not be loaded. I expected a book light on content and mostly an up-sell, as most other similar books are. And I wouldn't have been disappointed by that as long as it included a few gems for such a small price. However, I was pleasantly surprised the book was full of great content that other information products that cost between $700 and $1500 for similar content. The book begins with an overview of information marketing including the benefits and different business models. Throughout the book, there are numerous stories of other business owners that are great examples and inspiration. The book provides five different detailed models that the reader can follow to launch his or her own business. These models begin with low cost and conclude with higher investment models. Included are tele-seminars, joint ventures,in person seminars and more. This is great information I will use in my business or with my clients. I highly recommend this book for those just starting out because it gives you an easy model to follow and also for those already in the business because it is laid out well and full of helpful tips.

Dan Kennedy Fans Beware!
This book is NOT a Dan Kennedy volume ... it is a useful piece of info marketing training by a guy called ROBERT SKROB (who ... ?) ... but Dan's contribution (however meritorious) ... is only 3 1/2 pages! (The introduction). As this book cost me £16 (plus shipping) I was a little disappointed to say the least to find out that it wasn't a full Dan Kennedy masterpiece. As Amazon advertise the book as "Author - Dan Kennedy" ... and the cover has the familiar "Dan Kennedy style" ... I must say I was a trifle peeved by a somewhat deceptive piece of marketing.
