AMERICAN FLAG FBNC, 8x12 FT, Durable Polyester, Embroidered WHITE Stars and BRASS Grommets, STRENGTHENED by Double Stitching

UPDATE: I failed to notice another spelling error. The care label states, "LINEN DRY" rather than line dry.I bought this flag under the assumption it was made in the USA. After all, the description kept spouting patriotic terms such as:-PROUD TO BE AMERICAN!-HONOR THE VETERANS who fought for the US flag, our freedom and our future.-It is hope and belief! Our dream lives on as we RESPECT the virtues of our founding fathers with the USA flag.-Risk free and fly the OLD GLORY proudlyLooking at all of this, it doesn’t expressly state it is made in the USA, so that is my fault for not noticing.I received the package this week, and saw it wasn’t folded correctly nor did it list where it was made. I opened the package, and the insert was wrinkled and covered with fingerprints as though it had been used before. There was no company name, only a cryptic, “3’ x 5’ American Flag”. Upon closer inspection, the flag care instructions said to hand wash warm 40 °, which is 40 CELSIUS; care instructions in the United States list Fahrenheit.The weight listed is 110 gsm ± 5; this is not standard US label description.Glaringly, it lists, “Not subject to sertifications”; we spell certifications with a “C” in the United States.The website listed is fbnc.io. The Internet country code domain .io is assigned to the British Indian Ocean Territory, not the USA. I can now assume the flags are either made in China or one of the many islands in the Indian Ocean.I am waiting for a refund currently. In short, don’t buy from this seller if you want a well constructed and authentic USA made flag.

UPDATE 07/07/19: The review below was written on May 25, 2019, and the flag has been up constantly with a light on it at night ever since. The flag has now ripped at the end corner of hem and there are small stress rips in many places on the flag. It is also somewhat faded. I have just ordered a new replacement flag from the historic American flag company Annin Flagmakers (model 2730) at $45 and will find out how it compares. While this FBNC was not made in the USA, the 5' x 8' size was an exceptional value at $20 when I ordered it. Now that it's doubled in price, and now that I know it was not made in the USA, I WOULD NEVER BUY IT AGAIN.On May 25, 2019:"I've noticed most of the reviews under this 5' × 8' American Flag are actually for a 3' × 5' flag. This is for the 5' × 8' flag.My husband made a sturdy 30' plus flag pole and I needed to find a flag larger than 3' x 5', so I was thrilled when I found this one at only $20 (at the time I purchased it less than a week ago). By all appearances it is well made and absolutely beautiful. According to the other reviews, I don't expect it to last all that long, but if I only have to pay $20, it would be worth it to replace it from time to time. Now that it's over $30, I may need to reconsider... Unless it lasts much longer. Time will tell, and I will update my review accordingly. I too presumed it had been made in the USA, so the fact that it isn't would probably prevent a future purchase."

I ordered this flag in May, '17. By August, 17, it was beginning to shred on the ends. The seam for the bottom red stripe was coming apart. This is not a windproof flag! I live in Oklahoma, so we have regularly blustery days. Unless the company backs this with a guarantee of some kind, I'm leaving this poor review intact. I think it's fair to expect a flag touted as being extra durable should last more than three months. .Since posting this review the company contacted me and told me they were sending a new flag, which has been received. They told me that the winds here in NW Oklahoma are such that routine replacement (three months or so) of a flag should be expected. I'm still disappointed in the flag, but that may be due to unrealistic expectations. Looks like I'll have to budget for routine flag replacement! I've raised the rating from two to three stars, not for the flag, but for the company's five star response.

I expected it to last longer than 3 months. Bought it July 14th and on Oct 10th had to take it down due to the flag tearing apart at he seams. I hope that the company contacts me with a solution to the problem. I loved that flag but should last much longer. I will keep updated on what the seller does to help me out. We live in Michigan and don't have bad wind problems here.

We were looking for a quality American flag, made in the USA, that would arrive in time for the 4th of July. After looking at several other flags and reading about the companies that provided them, I settled on this one. Delivery was lightening fast! It arrived in less than 24 hours. It was packaged well and seems to be very durable. The colors are vibrant and I like that the stars are embroidered and the stripes are stitched. It makes it look much nicer than the cheaper flags that are just printed on the material. It's not as "flowing" as I would have hoped but I suppose that's the sacrifice for having something that's made of strong material. There were a few wrinkles from it being folded in the packaging but those seem to be falling out nicely. Overall, this is a good quality flag that will make a nice addition to any front porch or yard.

We live in a small compound of eight houses that share a common drive. On "patriotic" holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day) we put 2' x 3' flags along the sides of the drive, one in front of each of the eight houses. We wanted a larger flag to put in the center of the drive and this one fit the bill perfectly. The stripes are sewn (not printed) and the stars are embroidered (not printed). Very good quality.

We have had this flag for awhile now, no rips, holding together strong. I usually have to replace our flag once or twice a year and we have had this one for longer than that, looks like the day I took it out of the package. NO fading, ripping, stitching on stars and in seams holding strong. OUR old Glory flies everyday at our house, this is a beautiful flag. Will buy again when its time to replace. SO happy.
