Rapala Aluminum Plier 6.5"

Bought these looking specifically for relatively inexpensive lightweight pliers with split ring capabilites, and they look like they fit the bill perfectly. On my digital scale they weigh in at 2.8 oz. Construction tolerances look very good; there is no slop or play in the pivot and all plier, crimper, and cutter surfaces line up precisely when closed. Split ring beak is a nice shape and works well. Aesthetically and ergonomically, they look good and feel good in the hand. You can't tell from the picture but there are some ridges machined into the handles to provide additional grip. These are equivalent to standard full-size needle nose pliers in size. Case is nice and functional (as others have pointed out, there is no lanyard, but the listing doesn't claim there is.)We'll see how they hold up over time, but initially these look and feel real nice-- I don't see why they wouldn't do their job well, and I don't see why you would need to spend more if these have the features you are looking for.

It's light(very light in fact), looks good, feels good and great for saltwater. The shealth fit well, doesn't slip.However the teeth are only made of aluminium so they get deformed easily.

These are by far the best fishing pliers you can buy for the money. I can't believe I almost bought some cheap Chinese knockoffs for around the same price.

i bought these about 2 months ago...i love them! however, i do take extra good care of my stuff so i dont know how durable they truly are for the "normal" person...i wipe down with fresh water and a rag, then use a little 3-1oil after evey fish session. i use mine on the beach and salt water and they are holding up great. i stuck some reflector tape dots on the grips so i can see them on the sand at night. they are a little slippery but im usually wearing gloves so not much of an issue. i wish they came with a short lanyard but easy enough to make one with some paracord...im completely happy with my purchase and they were much cheaper here than at the shop!

Lightweight, good split ring design and cutter works great for braid/fluro. Worth 25 but wish they had a leash....But they will be great for digging deep hooks out

Not rusting, snap ring tip opener. If they had a bottle opener on it I wouldn't need a buddy to go fishing.

These are very nice pliers. They also come with a form fitted holster that fits very snugly yet is designed to allow drainage.I only wish they would have come with a lanyard like most other pliers do.
