Good, sturdy, inexpensive pans
These pans are sturdy and well-made. I bought the same pan in a larger size about seven years ago when my cats were little. They shared it for about four years until their vet convinced me they should each have their own pan. I bought a different brand from a local pet supply store, since I could no longer find the Marchioro, and I wasn't very happy with it. It was a very similar design, but it was pink and the cover sort of sat on the pan instead of snapping on like the Bill does. Not only did it cost more than these, but it was not made of the same quality of plastic.Even worse was the pretty pan my daughter brought with her when she came to stay for awhile with her cat. It had damask pattern accents, and I really liked the clean, modern look of it--until I tried to move it with the litter in it. This is something you probably shouldn't do (ideally), but you know ... real life. Anyway, either I didn't set it back down carefully enough, or the weight of the litter alone was too much for it, because the pan cracked. It could have been either one, because I discovered the pan was made of the thinnest, cheapest plastic I've ever seen used as a litter pan--dollar store quality! I taped it back together so it was usable, but she took the pink one with her when she left since I'd broken hers.By this time, the Marchioro Bill was starting to wear a little on the inside of the pan where the cats do the most scratching. The scratched plastic was making the clumps of litter very hard to scoop out or even clean with soap and water, so I decided it was time to get two brand new pans. After scoping out the ridiculously overpriced offerings elsewhere, I searched Amazon for the Marchioro brand, and here I am. I bought two of the slightly smaller pans since they each have their own and I think that will mean less wasted litter. I know they'll last a long time, and they're cheaper than the others besides. They do seem to be made of the same sturdy plastic as my old one, which I put out on the curb. I think someone "scooped it up" - pun intended! ;-)Oh, I did want to mention that these pans don't come with feet, but there are places to attach them and you can purchase them separately. If you can't find them here, look on Marchioro's web site. My original Marchioro Bill pan (the larger size) came with feet, but one or two would always fall off when I moved the pans for cleaning. Eventually, one got lost (I think the cats batted it under the fridge), so I tossed the other three. In hindsight, I could have used a dab of glue to keep them on, but the pans don't really *need* feet, so I didn't order any.Overall, these pans are a smart buy if you don't need a "pretty" cat pan.

High Quality Litter Pan
This is my second Marchioro Litter Pan, and I would not have purchased any other type or brand. The top cover and high sides keep the litter completely enclosed, even if your cat is a major scratcher/digger. My cat is older, and in the early stages of kidney disease. That means she drinks large quantities of water, and her daily urine output is equivalent to 2 or 3 younger cats. I scoop twice daily, but keeping the box as clean as possible and comfortable for her is a big priority. As it was new, she checked it out before using, but took to it right away. The lid did not come with charcoal filters, as the smaller Marchioro's do. It looks like I might be able to add them (there are some slots that look like they might be intended for the filters, but the plastic would have to be punctured) and I will continue to look for them. Some other reviews were critical of the side clips which hold the lid to the base. Honestly, I never even use them. The lid stays on just fine.

Better than Others
I had two of these covered litterboxes from Marchioro already, and when I added a couple kittens to my household, I needed another pan. At first, I got a covered litterbox from a different manufacturer-- it was horrible! The plastic was very thin and cheap, and the latches wouldn't secure. I returned it and went with the Marchioro since I could trust the quality. Even though it shipped without the little rubber "feet" that are supposed to come with it, it's STILL light years better than the other I originally bought, so no complaints here. The plastic is very sturdy, the latches are solid and easy to close, and I like that it has a handle on top for easy mobility.I only gave it 4 stars because it did not include the rubber "feet" that are supposed to come with it (and which my other two have). I'm sure I could have emailed Amazon and exchanged it, or gotten them sent separately, etc., but it's not a big deal to me. The litterboxes are in my basement and they're not really scratching the floors or anything.

Streamlined size
I bought a pair of these boxes in the small/medium size for my two cats. The boxes sit side by side in a small place. I was concerned that the space inside the litter box would cramp the cats. They adjusted with any problem at all. I like the streamlined size of the cat box. The cat litter pan is well constructed and sturdy. The side snaps are substantial and hold up to daily use. The cat liner I use in size large are an ample size for these boxes. Petmate Large Litter Pan Liners, 12 Pack

Its ok. The lid doesn't snap on all that great, but it has nice high sides while still having the little dip in the front. My kitten didn't care for the cover at all, I think because the colored lid makes the box so much darker inside as opposed to the clear lids that let light in.

Just received this yesterday It's a nice cat box
Just received this yesterday It's a nice cat box. you have to put the pieces together which was a little bit of a pain. You had to attach the handle, lock clips and air filters and the covers not shown in picture but was a nice plus. But once assembled it is attractive looking and the cat took to it. I bought this particular one for the high back which wasn't much higher then the one I had . But so far so good

My cat uses this box since day one. It's small enough to fit under a vanity in my house and it fits a 10 pound cat easily. The only downsize is finding liners that fit well.

Good solid construction--but some assembly required, needing strong hands.
Good solid construction--but some assembly required. If you don't have strong hands, you will have a really difficult time putting the handle and the side-clips in place. If you have arthritis, look elsewhere.
