What a fabulous film !!!
Having read and thoroughly enjoyed several Pierre Lemaitre novels. I did not know what to expect from this film. It was totally absorbing and enchanting from the outset. Beautifully made. An utterly fabulous film. Highly recommended !!!! The best I have seen for some time and totally unlike his crime novels.

Very good movie based on a great novel
Great movie, almost as good as the book

A must see.
Based on Pierre Lemaitre’s Goncourt Award omonym novel, Albert Dupontel’s film is visually creative and very well structured , rocambolesque and moving in the same time, having just the right dosage of grotesque, melodrama and comedy.

Beware
As many other people have noted the DVD may not have English sub-titles. Mine came in French with Dutch sub-titles. Get the Blu-ray hopefully this has English on it.

J'ai apprécié avoir vu le film après avoir lu le livre mais je suis déçu des raccourcis que prend le film sur certains aspects plus rive du livre pour mieux cerner l'intrigue. Mais c'est souvent inévitable

Qualité Dupontel
Super film, histoire ... Des acteurs crédibles, Laffitte y est impressionnant. Même en DVD, l'image est très bonne ainsi que le son, les décors sont parfaitement réussis. Que ce soit du décalé ou du sérieux, Dupontel est l'acteur, metteur en scène etc. fait partie des grands du monde du cinéma. Avis perso.
