Great product. Bought the bath lift for my wife ...
Great product. Bought the bath lift for my wife to use and she loves it. The bath lift makes it very easy for her to get in and out of a bathtub. The bath lift seems to be very well made and has worked perfectly the several times she has used it. We had thought about getting a walk in tub but the bath lift is a much better way to go. I would recommend this bath lift very much.

STOPPED WORKING, 3 YR WARRANTY NOT HONORED
SO DISAPPOINTED! I bought this for my 90 year old mother. It worked great for 8 months, then suddenly stopped working. I contacted Amazon and they said to contact the seller. All I wanted was a new remote, but they refused. After going back and forth with them and the manufacturer, I finally gave in and decided to return the whole thing. Because it won't go down without a working remote, I had to get 2 boxes and tape them together in order to return it (48" x 24"). After all that, although it is under a 3 year warranty, they are only giving me a partial refund! I'm so disgusted with Amazon for allowing a company to treat their customers this way. I thought they would take care of this for me, but after talking to SIX different reps, all they did was refer me back to the seller and said they were a good company who would take care of it. I initially gave a good review, but after such shameful treatment, I just have to warn people not to trust them. They do not honor their promises.

Amazon Doesn't Help
I purchased this chair and within 2 months the remote wasn't working and Amazon wouldn't do ANYTHING to help me. Yes they offered an 80% refund but I'm not looking to lose money on an item that has only been used for 2 months or less. I want the issue resolved and Amazon can't even tell me who to contact. On their site they show to visit Drive Medical Store which I did, and this is not even a product that Drive Medical handles. Amazon was ABSOLUTELY NO HELP!!!!! Be very Careful with your purchases!!!!!

Do NOT buy!!
Do NOT buy this model. There are two companies involved--Bathmaster and Performance Health--and neither one wants to or can take any interest. If you ever needed product support you would be totally out of luck. This was a replacement for an 8-year-old same model. They changed the design and the cord is too short. Apparently it is a unique plug and no extension will work. Even worst, the old model handset had a large suction cup for mounting on the wall. The new one does not. Even using an external suction cup, the back design is such that it is virtually impossible to use with one hand. TOTALLY inconvenient for anyone with any mobility issues.

My 82 year-old father is delighted with his Bathmaster!
This is an excellent value. I have a few FYI comments:Installation: It may be a bit too heavy and/or awkward for an older or impaired person to lift into the tub, but for me (the daughter) it was easy to set up, I just followed the instructions and didn't need any tools.Charging: We had some confusion initially because the light doesn't stay on while the battery is charging. It blinks a little, shows solid red and then goes off. Initially we thought it wasn't charging but after talking to an excellent customer server person, we learned this is the way it's designed.Fit: We have a roomy, older tub that is quite deep. And the device does take up quite a bit of room. However, it has a solid, stable feel and the seat is comfortable. The flap design makes it easy to scoot onto the seat when the lift is up, and then they fold out of the way when the lift is down - so the device isn't too wide. And after all, it's better to take a bath in less space than to not be able to bathe at all!My 82 year-old father is delighted with his Bathmaster!Update: This had a malfunction about a year after we purchased it, and we worked with the company to troubleshoot the issue. They were wonderful! And when the replacement charger didn't fix the problem, they sent us a brand Bathmaster! Wonderful company - highly recommend!

nice unit overall
Very nice piece of equipment, well packaged. However one should be forewarned that in smaller tubs,it can take up a considerable amount of space in the Tub. Under normal conditions one should measure detentions and plan on body being there also. I have a small tub but liked my lift anyway,a lot easier than trying to climb in and out of tub at 74 !!!

Great.
I could no longer use our whirlpool bathtub. It has been years since I was it. My family bought this for me for a gift. My first use I was so happy I cried. It is very east to use. Love the fact the back reclines and you really can really relax. It is the best gift I ever got. Highly recommend.
