McFarlane ToysBuilding Sets -The Walking Dead TV The Governor's Room Building Set

I love building Lego sets, this was my first McFarlane building set (although I have many of his figurines)...The quality of this finished set is awesome, it doesn't look like it was made from blocks at all (unless you get close).The lights on the tanks were a welcomed touch, although two minor nitpics on this -1. You have to take the right set of tanks to get to the power switch as it's to close to the wall2. I wish they were able to power the lights from an external supply (e.g. usb cord) instead of the batteries, as I would like to keep the light onEven with those two items above, I cannot say how good this looks, I have this at my office for everyone to see!The quality of the instructions were excellent, they provided extra bricks just in case... this is not going to be my last building set from them!I have included pictures of the items (bags, instructions) out of the box so you can see what it comes with. Also some pictures of it finished with the lights on/off... it is almost the exact same size as the Lego Big Bang Theory set if this helps.

A little set commemorating one of the eeriest scenes from TWD TV series, The Governor's Room has charm and ambience. Although the set is small and doesn't take long to build, McFarlane really got the essence of the scene. The Governor is tired and slumped in his easy chair, which looks great. The aquariums bubble across the room, and sweet little Penny has emerged from her cell and is feeling her way towards her chow bucket. A rough outline of her face is visible through the sack on her head. The room is dark, like on the show, so you want those aquariums lit up. At the top is the helicopter pilot and Michonne's pets, but there are plenty of other "fish" as well, each with their own story.Most of the floorboards are quite dark, but there are enough lighter ones to indicate the traffic patterns within the room. About 5 of the pieces of floor have pegs in them so you can decide where the small tables and Penny will be. Penny's foot has a hook for the peg which keeps her upright. One of my favorite touches is that the entire bank of aquariums is connected, but less tightly, to the floor, so it is very easy to lift them off to access the light switch on the right.This would be the perfect Father's Day gift for the thoughtful, pensive or brooding dad.

Mcfarlane never disappoints, except for when it does, but his not one of those times.

Don’t let the almost 300 parts scare you! You’re basically just building the floor (nice simulated hardwood!) and two walls. Make sure you have the plain side of the bricks to the inside and it’s a snap! The two figures need to have a few sockets opened up to make them go together easier. The lighted aquariums are way cool and the batteries that came with the kit were good! Had it together in an hour. Painted the aquarium bases to match the box illustration...came a real DARK gray....really adds to the scene. Nice addition to our collection. Hmmmmm....which one to do next?

A little bit small but generally very cosy corner to place among other collectibles.

What a great idea. It’s like a Lego puzzle that glows and appears real as The Walking Dead. Perfect addition to The Walking Dead pinball machine.

i absolutely had great fun putting this kit together, i thought it was going to take a long time, but it really didn't, and then i was bummed because i wanted to do more, so yeah i'm definitely getting more of these sets, they're awesome, and great details too. only problem i had was the little loopy things for the figures to stand up, it was tricky trying to keep them up but nothing that would deter me from getting others.

Imballaggio perfetto, lo stesso per la spedizione, il prodotto mi è anche arrivato prima del dovuto, se fosse stato leggermente più grande sarebbe stato ancora meglio, ma questo ovviamente non è colpa del venditore. Gli appassionati di the walking dead come me però non rimarranno di certo delusi. Alla fine sono molto contento del mio acquisto e fa una bellissima figura sulla mia mensola, soprattutto grazie al sistema di "faretti" che illumina l'acquario.

Envoi rapide et soigné. Je l'ai offert à mon amoureux pour son anniversaire et il a tout simplement adoré. Il est clair que nous allons nous lancer dans la collection complète de ces sets Walking Dead. Les détails sont impressionnants. Quand au fait que les étagères de bocaux avec les têtes s'allument, c'est juste extra!

La habitacion esta bastante bien, de los dioramas es el mas sencillo y rapido de montar a comparacion con la caldera o el hospital. El toque de los LEDS para que se iluminen las cabezas esta genial, le da un toque oscuro.Perfecto para la tematica Walking Dead si la coleccionas.
