This item replaced a fully metal press which literally had the metal head break out of it!This is oh so easy to clean with its flip out grater - comfortable to hold as well. One of the most used items in our kitchen and still going strong.

I have weak wrists. I've always found the Khun Rikon garlic press to be amazingly easy to use, even with one hand. HOWEVER, this new version is absolutely awful. It is incredibly difficult to use, and the whole gearing/mechanics side of things has gone to pot. I'm returning mine. I wish they'd go back to the original design, or at least provide it as an alternative.

I have always found the Kuhn Rikon products to be a cut above most other makes so, when my old garlic press, bought for a few pence from a village hardware store in France, gave up the ghost after many years of solid work, I naturally turned to Kuhn Rikon for a replacement.The result is somewhat of a disappointment. The press is well made and does the job adequately – not the distinct improvement I would have expected, but it requires more force than the old French job. Hence three stars; it was OK but...Update: A friend in France sent me a garlic press similar to my original one. It cost less than £2 and it works ten times better than the Kuhn Rikon. A bit harder to clean, perhaps, but worth the extra couple of minutes' work.

Forget easy clean ! This garlic press takes longer to clean than any other unit I have ever purchased . If u want easy clean unit forget this one

This is a piece of crap. After attempting to press one clove of garlic each time, on several occasions, I just gave up and threw it in the garbage. Other people in my household complained but I thought they were exaggerating...they were not. Waste of time and money.

Eine gute günstigere Variante von einer Knoblauchpresse. Hatte zuvor die von Tupperware und ist nach vielen Jahren kaputt gegangen. Das einzige was ist, bei der Reinigung braucht man manchmal einen spitzen Gegenstand um den restlichen Knoblauch aus den Löchern zu bekommen. Ist aber auch dann easy.

Das Design ist ziemlich gut, wirklich leicht zu reinigen.Die Verarbeitung ist recht mäßig, das Polyamid (der Kunststoff) hat recht viel Gußgrat und 2 ziemlich raue Stellen, wo der Kunststoff in die Form gegossen wurde. Hier wäre es wirklich angemessen gewesen, die Bauteile im Werk zumindest grob abzuschmirgeln.Es braucht doch recht viel Kraft um den Knoblauch durchzupressen und es geht immer nur eine Zehe auf einmal, aber die Löcher sind schmal und das Ergebnis ist sehr feiner Knoblauch.Auf lange Sicht mache ich mir Sorgen ob das Polyamid am Scharnier brechen wird, das wird sich zeigen.Ich empfehle die Knoblauchpresse, weil sie feinen Knoblauch produziert, leicht zu reinigen und spülmaschinengeeignet ist, könnte allerdings auch für den Preis noch verbessert werden.
