DD-WRT capable
This is a very compact, unobtrusive unit that seems to work well. The unobtrusiveness is very important if you have a partner who is picky about clutter. A big advantage, and I hadn't realised what a big advantage it is until I tried to use this router, is that you can install the DD-WRT firmware. Because I'm ignorant and technically incompetent it took me a while to flash the firmware and get the unit operating properly as a repeater bridge. Knowing what I know now, the whole process would take about 15 minutes. If you don't want to do anything complicated, getting it to work as a simple wireless router is dead easy with the supplied CD. I haven't had any range problems in my house.

Great Ethernet Switch and Wireless Extender
I bought the Buffalo AirStation to put in an upstairs office so i could hook multiple devices to the internet through an existing wired connection which goes to a router/internet with the added bonus of superseding the wireless signal from a very old 802.11b wireless router. It was easy to setup using the provided software on the cd (be aware the cd installation is PC only) but the installation guide for not using the cd is very clear so Mac/Linux users wont be dissadvantaged. From the Airstation's configuation screen all its settings can be altered from simple things like the name to things only an advanced user would want or think to change. The AirStation comes in a stylish case that can be stood on end or flat if you want to display it. Overall the AirStation is a great value for money switch that took seconds to setup which also comes bundled with the latest wireless certification making it an ideal addition to an existing router that has slow wi-fi if you don't mind the extra wires. But be warned the word router in the title doesn't mean this product can be used to directly to the internet it's just a switch to allow more ethernet connections to a network whilst improving on a wireless network's range/speed.

Rubbish
Brought this to use as a simple wireless bridge - wasted several hours of my life trying to get it to work. My day job is in I.T. & while I'm not a networking expert I know what I'm doing. Looks like you may need to install 3rd party firmware to make it work as a wireless bridge - what a joke! Except I'm not laughing - now packing it up to return to Amazon.

extremely poor signal strength
I found this quite hard to set up as an access point. In the end the signal strength was so poor I ended up returning it.

Great value for money
This router/AP is great value for money, but for those thinking of overwriting the firmware with DD-WRT, be aware the model you are most likely to receive (i.e. WHR-G300Nv2 not v1) is not properly supported by DD-WRT. The v2 is based on a different chipset (Atheros WiSOC) and therefore is only supported by a custom version of DD-WRT details of which can be found on their forum (google "DD-WRT WHR-G300Nv2"). I found this to be a bit of a disappointment because I had wanted to use the router as a wifi extender for my existing ADSL Router/wifi AP (i.e. in Repeater mode) but the custom DD-WRT does not support this mode and even the related modes (client bridge) do not work properly (at the time of writing). However, this device is such good value that I am going to solve my wifi extender needs by buying another one and connecting it to my ADSL modem on which I'll then disable the wifi. This still works out cheaper than buying the ~£60 bridging routers I've seen on the net plus I get a mode N link into the bargain (as my existing modem only does b/g).

Great Stable Router- UI needs work though.
It is a great working router. I've not had to do a power cycle in the few months that I've had it running. The only fault I find with it is the UI is not all that friendly for those who wouldn't know what they're are doing. Even for me it took a while to get accustomed to the arrangement of features. But for a stylish N speed router on the cheap it's great. I was quite surprised by the size of it as well. When I bought it, I was expecting it to be larger, but it was a pleasant surprise to see such a small unobtrusive device.

Great router
Great works perfectly, laptop wireless goes 100MBP/S with my computer connected with cable. Internet doesn't disappear, when one device downloads at 100MBP/S the other just has a slower connection (not like my old D-link DIR-100). All in all awesome device. The only problem that i can think of is the time to device boots up. It takes about 20 sec.

Airstation WHR-G300N/U
Fantastic price from Amazon for this versatile N router. Most importantly it can easily be modified by running the DD-WRT firmware which gives additional features (I needed it as a wireless bridge) although your warranty will be voided as impossible to revert to Buffalo firmware. NB 'bridge' on box means wired to wireless within the router NOT over the wi-fi link - hence need for DD-WRT. Physically small and easily hidden or put in an inconspicuous location (I used it to connect my internet enabled TV (Sony KDL-32W5500) in the lounge to my BT wirless router in teh study). Easily supports iPlayer and streamed audio from a PC etc. Only downside (hence 4 stars) is that the small box only has internal antennae which do not give the best reception - though re-orientating the box can help a lot.

OMG WOW! A MUST BUY!
First of all I have a MAC which the start up disk does NOT support, but it doesnt matter! All you have to do is unplug everything and connect the new router and you can set it up from any type of computer using your web browser page to link into the routers settings box! The ease of setting this router up is just baffling, took me all of 10 minutes! This router is used for my Playstation 3 (and my MACBook Pro) upon which I experience NO LAG what so ever! I have an internet connection which has 4Mb upload speeds and 22Download speeds and this router allows me to get my moneys worth, where m last router would only allow me around 1.5Mb upload when im paying for 4Mb! Needless to say, this router is amazing! I have not had to restart this thing once(ive had it for over a month now)! And my last router needed to be restarted every other day! My Verdict: Save your money and buy this router! It does everything you need! Wireless, secured with a pass word, blazing fast speeds, and it is tiny! About the size of a ps3 game case if your familiar with one, but the wireless range is mighty! BUY THIS ROUTER!

Great Product and easy setup
A lot of people have complained about the setup on this device. I mainly got this device for its support of DD-WRT but their standard setup is solid too. If you know a thing or two about computers avoid the wizard setup and do it the manual way. Just connect the router to your service provider modem and then run a Ethernet cable to you computer. (I used a mac). Direct your browser to 192.168.11.1. Enter User/Pass (Default User: Root, password left blank) and you ready to configure wireless. It was so easy that a caveman can do it. So far satified with the product. Haven't done anything specific as far as routing rules and port forwarding. But will be setting up a VPN Tunnel soon. So I will update review then.

Wont Connect Any Faster Then Wireless G
Won't connect any higher then 54mbps on anything I own. Many wasted hours later, I'm sending it back. A flimsly piece of junk. Very dissapointed because I bought this on name alone! My old G AirStations were the best. My how the mighty fall! How do you get a connect speed of 2mbps from two feet away? All you folks with the positive reviews; what speeds are you getting? My guess is none of you know.

Preis-Leistung super
